I enjoyed it, but one thing slightly bugs me; Rainbow Dash doesn't seem the type to meditate.

I also get the sense (and maybe it's just me) that flying is as much running from memories that haunt her as it is dealing with them.

I'm a bit groggy to read this through critically right now but my first impression is good - I didn't catch any obvious grammar/punctuation errors, which is refreshing (not directed at you specifically, from anyone. There's usually something that needs fixed, but I didn't spot it if there is.

You've got a good point there. I understand that Dashie isn't too contemplative -- she's more of a doer than a thinker -- but I admit to foregoing that for the sake of focusing on the thoughts and feelings behind her flight as much as her actions and to make things a bit more dramatic. And, as for the whole "running from memories" bit, I can kinda see why you might get that sense. I was aiming more at both getting away from the world and bad memories and proving to herself that those humiliating times were long gone. Maybe I could have elaborated further on her transition away from those bad thoughts.
I appreciate the feedback, Vivvy, and am really glad you enjoyed it! I'm also glad there were no stark errors or bad impressions, heh... My attention to detail has payed off for my first published fanfic, it seems.
