Foal Again...

"Do you think she's... ill?" Fluttershy whispered to Rarity, Applejack and Pinkie Pie as they watched this out-of-character Rainbow Dash climb up Twilight's bookshelf and end up falling off, wailing.

Twilight and Zecora just rushed into Twilight's library, dropped her off and left whilst screaming "BE SURE TO TAKE CARE OF HEEEER!"

She never even explained what's going on, just was galloping out.

"No.... well, I don't think so," Pinkie answered. "We were at Zecora's hut and I ACCIDENTALLY. Let me repeat. ACC-ID-EN-TA-LLY. Caused a potion to fall on her head," she then fiercely looked at Fluttershy and growled "AND I DIDN'T MEAN FOR IT TO HAPPEN, YOU HEAR?! IT WAS ALL AN ACCIDENT!!"

"Eep..." Fluttershy squeaked, curling up into a small ball.

"Yes, yes, we believe you, dear," Rarity said, pushing a very weird Pinkie further away from a squeaking Fluttershy, "Let's just hope Twilight and Zecora get here sooner." Then all the ponies continued watching their blue peagasus friend try bite into a book as if it was mistaken for a sandwich. "No no, darling. Books aren't food!" Rarity informed Rainbow, running over to her and trying to snatch off the book. Rainbow stared at her for a couple of seconds, before crying again.

"Has anypony noticed her cries sound... like a foal's?" Applejack questioned. All the ponies nodded. "Pinkie, are you sure the potion you dropped on her head--"

"BY ACCIDENT!!" Pinkie interrupted, growling.

"By accident," Applejack added, rolling her eyes, "isn't that foal again potion you read out yesterday?"

Pinkie tapped her chin, thinking hard. "There IS a possible chance, but I didn't see the label when it dropped. BY ACCIDENT,"

It was getting dark already, and the sun's rays were at the very edge of Equestria. All the ponies glanced worriedly at each other then at the library door, wondering when Twilight will get home. When the doorknob turned, all the ponies suddenly broke into huge grins of relief, finally happy to see Twilight was back. But when the door opened, not Twilight nor Zecora was standing behind it, but the one and only baby dragon, Spike! "Hey guys," he said in a muffled voice, his mouth filled with strawberry ice cream and crystals. He waddled in, holding 4 tubs of those. The mare's smiles vanished. Where was Twilight? As the sun vanished completely from the horizon, everypony was getting scared.

Rarity was the first to speak after a long, dreaded silence. "Spike, dear, do you know where Twilight is? And when she'll get back?"

Spike gulped hard on his ice-cream and stuck another spoonful in his mouth. "Dunno. She'f been to Zecofa'f hut--"

"We know," Pinkie piped up.

"Ven she tod me to fop eatin' too much deset becuz I tod her I waf goin' to get more, ven she juf weft!" Spike explained, having difficulty talking properly because of all the ice-cream. "But I wen to get more awyway."

"Is that all you know?" Applejack asked. Spike nodded just as Rainbow Dash leaped on top of him. All the mares' shoulders slumped.

Then suddenly Twilight slammed through the door, causing everypony and dragon to jump. Rainbow whimpered, about to cry again. Twilight rushed over to her. I can't believe I have to do this, Twilight thought, took a deep breath and said in a sweet voice "Don't worry sweetheart, I'm here," then she picked Rainbow up with her magic "Sshhhh, that's a good girl."

Rarity, Applejack and Pinkie tried their best to stop a barrel of laughter from being opened. For Fluttershy, the sight was disturbing. Spike just treated this like the cinema, eating ice-cream while sitting cross-legged. When Twilight glanced at her friends' reactions, her purple face turned red. "What?! The foal again potion dro--"

"We know," Rarity and Applejack said in unison.

"Pinkie explained what happened," Fluttershy continued on.

"Yeah, so there's no need to act like that!" the lavender unicorn shouted. Rainbow must have sensed Twilight was upset because then she started growling angrily at the ponies. Fluttershy 'eeped' and hid behind Applejack. Pinkie just giggled at everything that as happening, and Rarity took a step back, like there was a raging wild dog in front of her.

Twilight took a deep breath and said quietly "Let's just try our best to look after her. For two. Whole. Days. I feel this is going to be difficult."

"It probably is!" Pinkie shrieked "I've already had enough mayhem with the Cake's babies, so I know what it may be like."

"But we're a team," Twilight continued, looking up and smiled at her friends "So we'll help each other overcome the obstacles!"

Twilight yawned. "Welp, time to get some sleep. Big day ahead of us!"

When all her friends left, Twilight teleported her and Rainbow into bed, too tired to walk up the stairs, and collapsed onto her pillow. She tucked Rainbow in too.

"Sweet dreams, Rainbow."

"GA GA!"
