In a time long before the paradise of friendship that is modern-day Equestria, where there was little peace and Alicorns were regarded as nothing more than legends, there were the Four Kingdoms. These Four Kingdoms were the governing provinces of what is known today as Equestria. The Four Kingdoms, however, all answer to one King. The King of Villiandra, Sovereign Ruler of the Four Kingdoms.
This is the recorded journey of Soulstorm, Supreme Wizard to the court of one such King; King Arcturus.
Soulstorm has been sent on a quest to find and destroy the dragons that threaten Old Equestria, and with King Arcturus growing weak and sickly in his old age, he has sent with Soulstorm his son, Sandorius, heir to the throne of King Arcturus and, in turn, to the title of Sovereign Ruler of the Four Kingdoms.
To fail is to leave the fate of Old Equestria in the evil claws of the dragons. Will he succeed? Or will he perish, forever dooming the land of the ponies?
