I just realized something. Was Fluttershy home during all of this? It is her house after all, and it was apparently the middle of the night when they got there... does that mean that Fluttershy was in her room the whole time, forced to listen to them going at it from just down the hall?

There was also a matter of Fluttershy leaving the town for a while. She was leaving tomorrow morning, and since he and Twilight are coming back at night, he‘s going to be taking care of the animals in the cottage until she comes back.

I made a mistake, it was in chapter 26, not 28.

7552381 Ok, I found it, and since they stayed in Canterlot overnight, that would mean that Fluttershy had left at about the same time as the 'apple muse' part in chapter 28.
