We thought him dead and gone.

He came back.

We thought that since we beat him once we could do it again.

He proved us wrong.

He was a nightmare when he only had a forest.

Now he has his own country!

May the Maker have mercy on us, for Darth Vulcan the Lord of Outland will not.

A recursive fanfic of RealityCheck' s TRODV

Spelling and grammar, first nitpick.

6611656 Not a good sign if the writer of the original has a complaint. :derpytongue2: *still hits the watch button*

*sigh* I have no problem with recursive fanfiction. Hell, RC has an entire timeline built based on Pen Stroke's Past Sins. My problem lies in the quality. As RC stated above, you need to run this through a spell-checker, and then run it past an editor. There are many problems that could easily be fixed if you did so.

Also, the fact that you're writing this prior to the completion of the original fic means that I automatically have to segregate the two into their own respective canons. After all, unless RC has told you explicitly what is going to happen at DV's conclusion, we can't take it for granted that Ted will be slain at the end of the fic, nor can we assume that he will introduce the gasoline-powered engine. Ergo, this falls under AU by default.

Putting both issues aside, I still have some problems. Namely, why did the ponies of Equestria not automatically become suspicious of the fact that the United States' ponies were using gasoline-driven machinery? Sorry to say, but this will likely be the only time I read or comment on this fic, because, in the words of Val Kilmer:

Okay you have my attention. Some issues can be overlooked for now but this is a promising start despite the first few complaints.

well guess this answers the 'is you dead' question.

Could use a bit of editing overall it's good you have my attention for the most part,

6612444 It's a sign of life.

On a normal person, you check for a pulse. On a nerd, you check for a complaint.

Well they did become suspicious about something going on, but in tthis fic Vulcan faked his death and as within the show they a lot of times try to asume that thing's are not as horrible as they really are, at least at first.

Interesting twist on the Darth Vulcan storyline, i like it.

Huh, unexpected. Added to RL list and will give my thoughts in a moment, I'm busy procrastinating.

And the part about the ponies making a party celebrating VulcanĀ“s death... I mean, seriously? :trixieshiftright: In the original story, both sides have taken great lenghts to avoid casualities, whatever the reason was ethical or pragmatical. Pinkie was horrified when she found out her party cannon had disfigured VulcanĀ“s face .

The Barren desert was now a lush green field with all kinds of deep forests and fruit trees, courtesy of deep ground solar powered water extractors and the most advance irrigation I had ever seen.
Whole cities where build on the Blizzard Perch Mountains that extracted iron, copper, crom, gold and silver.
The Volcanic Island chains where a bread basket of grain, wheat, barley and all kinds of foods.
They Hayseed swamps where drained and mad a massive rich pasture grounds and farmland, all irrigated by a great number of small rivers.

How the hell did they only notice this after the fact?

You know that they held a celebration after defeating every big bad so far.

And it's made as a great holiday, like VE day and VJ day was for the forties and fifties.

6612459 Because Celestia prefers to bath in ignorance.

Does any one know what happened to Realitycheck and if he's still writing the Darth Vulcan story some where? a link would be lovely.:fluttercry:

You keep using 'where' where you mean to use 'were' in your sentences. A lot.

Horrible proofreading job on this, but the concept behind it is both sound and interesting. So, interesting enough spin off to keep track of.

i hope it is as good as the original

Other than a few spelling and grammar errors, this was fantastic! I enjoyed this fanfic-of-a-fanfic. I honestly hope to see that one day TRODV can gain a larger fan group! Its such an amazing story.
