Not bad, short, to the point. Still a little iffy on Equestria being like this, but for an AU it works and isn't wholly impossible just, not my preferred viewing of it. Still pretty good. Only major issue for me is the whole "bankrupted by medical bills" thing, that's more of an issue overall with that trope showing up, since not only is it an issue I don't see Ponies ever having, but the whole idea isn't even an overall RL one, it's almost strictly and American issue, with most of the rest of the developed world not having that problem, and given that, really hard to see Equestria having it either. (Doubly so since, you know, it's actually made in Canada :derpytongue2:)

But, still liked it, full review might take a while, I am really backed up in them right now.

Thanks for the positive comments that you have been making.
I do have the Ponyville Medical Society as villains in several stories and their greed has been highlighted before this. That is not as clear as it could be, I guess.
Most systems have private doctors and treatment facilities lurking in the woodwork. They are largely kept in check by free government systems.
I am an American and have seen stable, well off people bankrupted by medical bills. in the US, it is the single biggest cause of bankruptcy. I have tried to steer a middle course in this. The Horsepitals are free but the doctors are not.

I have mentioned this before for both Grumpy Goat in particular and my canon in general that what we see is the prettied up version. I try to present what the bottom rungs of society see and experience.
This can be regarded as an AU or just what is swept under the show society's carpets. Either view works well.

Not all regions have too many good doctors period no matter how they are paid, my mother learned that the hard way and has been in chronic pain ever since. That is why we go out of our way to avoid the cheap ones, strangers, and try to avoid seeing doctors at all if possible. You don't realize how valuable choice really is. And for your information before you make some assumption about my family's finances I would have you know that my family lives in Mississippi and is largely made up of hands on farmers and engineers. If it wasn't for private practicing doctors my family's overall health wouldn't be nearly as good as it is now.

Not all private doctors are bad, indeed many are very good. Even the Ponyville Medical Society has some fine doctors. Some greedy and bad doctors like Doctor Crossly and Doctor Bale wound up running the Society because of their greed. I make the point that things have gotten better after they were removed in Nightmare Night At Grumpy's Cave. I agree with you on the whole matter of choice. Any medical system will have problems, whether it is a free one, like England or Canada or a private one like the USA. My stories tend to center around the problems.
