Chapter 3: The Discovery

Author's Note:

For those wondering, this chapter leads to Fluttershy finding out Curly & Quote's well-hidden secret when speaking to X (I explained who he was in chapters 1 & 2) And no its not what you think. Plus, I skipped Quote's story after Flutters brought them to her place. Also, my character has nothing to do with Cave Story's plot points/twists; he is just mentioning some of them from the game(plus, he wasn't one of the scientists; Pixel made Cave Story in his free time. It would be awesome if he was though).

"So, there you have it." Quote just finished explaining to Fluttershy what happened on the island.

"Goodness, that's interesting." Fluttershy was listening the whole time Quote was speaking.

After Fluttershy said that, there was a knock on the door.

"Who's that?" Curly asked curiously.

"It might be X. I'll go get it."

Fluttershy went to the door.

"Hey Fluttershy! Just wanted to see what's going on," X was saying this when Fluttershy greeted him.

"Oh, nothing much, actually. I found the two ponies you heard about though."

"You did?!" X was ecstatic to hear that.

"Yeah, they are here right now."

"Can I talk with them?"

"Um, sure" was the reply.

X looked at Curly and Quote. Everyone was quiet at that point.

"So you two are the ponies who were on that island huh?"

"Yep! We are the ponies on that island!" Curly spoke up.

"Hold on, can I have a chat with Quote?" X mentioned the name of the stallion with Curly.

"Wait, you know them?" Fluttershy asked him.

"Yeah, I recognize them. Those two were the armed scout robots dispatched to that island about 10 years ago." X said this straight out of the blue.

"What?!" Fluttershy was shocked on what he said.

"It's true, I was one of the scientists working on them before the war."

"What war?" Fluttershy couldn't help asking.

"Between the humans and Mimiga," Curly said.

"Mimiga?"

"Rabbit-like creatures that lived on that island." Quote decided to speak up.

I had to make this very late in the night. So at some parts I might not be thinking correctly I think I got the points in the story correctly but idk I am a bit tired.

Please pick one tense (past or present) and stick with it. Though that's the least of your problems...
