Fluttershy wanders into a strange island that crashed from the SKY. Inside she befriends 2 new ponies - at least that what she thinks they are...
(Inspired by Studio Pixel's "Cave Story")
One day during a special stroll across Ponyville, Fluttershy caught word of a island that "plummeted from the sky." What she finds are 2 white ponies that seem to be as kind as her. But are they actually ponies?
"Quote, what do we do? This place is falling from the sky!" A white pony is asking her friend, a stallion, how to escape from their tight situation. Where they are is literally plummeting from the sky.
"Grab on! I got this!" Quote yelled to his friend. In such warning, she did grab on. Quote took out a jetpack he got from a scientist he befriended earlier.
They shot out of the chamber they were stuck in and arrived in a mysterious room.
"Huh, I wonder what this place is," the mare asked curiously. Suddenly, they heard a loud noise from outside.
BOOM!
"What was that?!" The mare said this out of shock.
Quote looked out. The island crashed to the ground. But he didn't reply back to the mare. But he did reply.
"Um, Curly, you might want to have a look at this..."
"What?"
"Come look for yourself."
The mare, who is named Curly Brace, but usually called Curly, walked over to where Quote was. What she saw was almost a scary sight.
"D-did it-"
"I'm afraid it crashed to the surface." Quote said to his ally.
"Well now what do we do?" Curly asked.
"I don't know, but I think that word would get around about this place plummeting from the sky, though." What Quote was saying was correct. That's when a yellow Pegasus name Fluttershy woke from her slumber...
As the citizens of Ponyville know, Fluttershy is one of the kindest ponies they have met. But they weren't aware that she could be taking daily strolls across town listening to whatever is new.
She decided to chat with a pony she knew: X.
"Hi."
"Oh hi Fluttershy!" X was a crimson pony with a very big understanding of this Pegasus. He won't talk with anypony else but her.
"How are you?"
"Pretty swell, if I do say so myself," X replied. "Hey, I have something to tell you."
"Huh?" Fluttershy was very curious about what he has to say.
"I overheard somepony saying they heard a loud, um, explosion or something. Claims they saw an island plummeting right from the sky. Nowhere even near Cloudsdale. Also says there were, I think two ponies that seem to be unicorns or something." X was talking about an island somepony claimed to see falling down from the sky.
"Oh, my." Fluttershy was eager to know what X was getting into.
"Well, I decided to go investigate or something, but I didn't want to do it unless you wanted to. What do you say?" He seemed eager to go see.
"Um, actually, I think I would go myself, if that's okay." Fluttershy was trying to be as kind as she can.
X was disappointed not going to see, but he was okay with it. "Oh, no, that's fine. I will go see what is going on later."
"Where did it land, anyway?"
"I think it landed near the Everfree Forest or somewhere around there." X was trying to figure it out.
"Okay, I'll go see." Flutters went to the Everfree Forest, unlikely to know who the two ponies were.
It seems like X's coordinates were spot-on; Fluttershy had no problem finding this "sky island." She approached it, expecting to see the two ponies that were mentioned. When suddenly, she heard a mare's voice.
"HEY!" The sudden voice startled Fluttershy.
"Um, who's there? Where are you?"
"We are in this weird room sorta place in the island. The door seems to be jammed and we can't get out. Think you can help us?"
"Um, I can try to help," Fluttershy replied to the mare.
"Try opening the door from the outside, it might be locked shut." The mare was right; Fluttershy was looking at a lock on the doorknob. She unlocked the door and opened it. Inside she met two ponies of the same color.
"Thanks for helping us out, Miss, um, what is your name?" The mysterious mare asked her.
"Um, I am Fluttershy."
"Nice to meet you, Fluttershy. I'm Curly Brace, and this is my friend Quote."
"It's nice to meet you, Quote," Fluttershy told the stallion. But he didn't reply. "Where are you two from, anyway?"
"Actually, we can't seem to remember at all," Curly said. "We only remember recent events."
"Well, do you remember how the island fell? I want to learn about this place." Clearly, Fluttershy's curiosity got the best of her.
"We'll tell you later," Quote finally said. It was already midday. Quote and Curly have clearly been through a lot of trouble already.
