Redemption, loss, and tragically adorable...yeah, that just about sums it up. I can no longer speak English, which causes problems, I have an insufferable unicorn with whom I'm forced to share this glass cell and there's no hope of reversing this curse.
So...this is me, a "cute little guy" stuck in this accursed life just waiting for the punch line. This is what I get for writing fanfiction...

The main character just randomly transformed into a Pegasus? I get the Unicorn volunteered for some kind of treatment.
This is intriguing... but I'm wondering if you didn't reveal a bit too much for a first chapter. Still, the zoo thing is a novelty as far as I'm concerned. I'd like to read more on that.

What the hell is going on with this story? The second chapter doesn't seem to connect to the first or this one.
Suddenly Argonians, a friend of Yankee who is in a similar but different situation, another collaborator that can talk. But Yankee is devolving, acting barely better than a dog (if this is his rebellion or a side effect of continuing changes are unknown), and then suicide.
I'm interesting in reading the story but I have no idea where it's going or really trying to do. No pondering the meaning of existence or paradoxes. Just suicidal angst, unless he is in some kind of time loop that only starts now.
And he is really, really afraid of almost everyone. That's kind of odd...
Should he survive, they really should let him fly. Taking that away from a Pegasus in many stories does more than just cripple them, it's an instinctual need that relaxes them when they do, and irritates/depresses them when they cannot.
I suggest retagging your story to see include [sad], [dark], or [tragic] because those are the only feelings this story is invoking right now, not [adventure].
I really hope the story turns around. It's depressing to read.

The greatest/saddest thing about this story is it's terrible what happened to him and all but he's not making things one bit easier with biting everyone and hurting himself and assuming the worst about everyone's intentions.
