Fiddlesticks and Beauty Brass have always had a thing for each other. Too bad Fiddlesticks is way too shy to do anything about it, so Beauty Brass has taken action and asked Fiddlesticks out on a date in Canterlot.
Too bad Fiddlesticks overheard part of a conversation that wasn't meant for her, and now she is questioning every little detail about herself and her date, and thus she's acting about as opposite as ponyly possible. And Beauty Brass is wondering if she's done something wrong.
A typical love story based around a single bit of miscommunication.

That...is really weird, to be honest. As far as I know, I am the only pony on the planet who puts those two together. I read the post and the mod said they did it because somepony asked them specifically not to put those two together. Either a really big coincidence, or somepony out there really, really, really doesn't like the fact that I put those two together.

If I like the pairing, I try to at least give a short story to how the two ponies met. I actually wanted to do a bit more with this story, but I was pretty depressed when I was writing it (see the notes in the last chapter), so it got cut short. However, I'm not done with these two. They shall return in Shattered, because Sea Swirl is still under the impression that somepony threw Symphony off of the cliff, and we all know Symphony isn't about to confess to what really happened.
Saying possibly hurtful things that can be misconstrued to cause drama seems to run in this family. I'm not sure I like it.

Hey, to be fair, this whole thing came about because Fiddlesticks was listening in and heard the wrong part of the conversation. She thought Octavia was talking down about her, when she was actually protecting her by telling Beauty Brass that Fiddlesticks isn't like Canterlot ponies. So if that was what B.B. was looking for, Octavia wasn't going to let her see Fiddlesticks.
