Nice beginning. Made me think too. What if they all got their cutie marks much quicker this way? Like how sometimes actively looking for something can make it much harder to find?
If Sweetie Belle doesn't become friends with Apple Bloom and Scootaloo, maybe she forms the "Cutastically Fantastics" with some other foals? Or maybe she spends all that extra time throwing herself into music and earns a cutie mark sooner? Or maybe she becomes friends with Diamond Tiara, leading Silver Spoon to become a depressed loner?
It's an interesting idea with a lot of potential. Not much seems to have happened so far, but I'll be reading along to find out where this goes.
