Chapter 1: A family morning part 3 (Twilight and Rarity)
As dawn broke through her window, Twilight stirred in her bed. Sitting up, she let out a soft yawn, before getting out of bed, "Looks like its going to be another gorgeous day," Twilight said, as she left her room to go and went to the dining room. Along the way, she saw Nyx, Trinity, Eric, Sarah, Gladys, Rebecca, Spike, Josh, and Kelly all waiting for the bathroom, "Morning everyone!" Twilight called cheerfully.
"MOMMY!" Trinity said, running up, and hugging Twilight's forelegs.
"Good morning Twilight," John said.
"Where's Elijah?" Twilight asked.
"Daddy's in the kitchen preparing breakfast. Cory's with him too," Crystal said, coming out of the bathroom, as Nyx went in.
"Well, you go and see if he wants any help, ok pumpkin?" Gladys asked.
"Ok Mommy!" Crystal said, running off to the kitchen.
"So, what are the plans for today?" Twilight asked.
"I've got a date with Dinky," Josh said.
"A date?!" Sarah exclaimed, surprised at the knowledge that her son has a true love.
"When did you get a girlfriend?" Eric asked, patting his son on the head.
"Well, it started out on the first night I got here, when Pinkie threw me a welcome party. I met Dinky for the first time near the start of the party. Then, on the first Hearts and Hooves day, we had our first day. Well, before that, during Hearths warming Eve, she and I kissed under some mistletoe," Josh explained, blushing at the memory.
"Wow, a first kiss before you go on a date? I was never that lucky with your mother," Eric said.
"Now dear, you shouldn't be so hard on yourself," Sarah said, as Nyx left the bathroom, and Trinity entered, "I would like to meet her one of these days," Sarah said to Josh.
"She said she'd like to meet you guys too," Josh said, as Trinity left the bathroom, prompting Eric to go in.
"Well, I'm meeting up with Toby and some of the other musicians in town for music club," Kelly said.
"Toby's the one who plays the piano, right?" Rebecca asked.
"Yep, so that's pretty much my plans for the day," Kelly replied, as Eric left the bathroom, letting Sarah go in.
Meanwhile, in the dining room, Elijah was bringing out pancakes for everyone, "Alrighty then, breakfasts ready, so all we have to do now, is wait," Elijah said, as he, Crystal, and Cory sat down at the table. And one by one, Nyx, Eric, Sarah, Gladys, Rebecca, Spike, Josh, Kelly, and Twilight entered the room.
"Pancakes for breakfast?" Eric asked.
"I thought it would be something everyone would eat," Elijah said, as everyone dug in.
"So, Elijah, what're your plans for today?" Twilight asked.
"Thought I might try to find some art supplies," Elijah replied.
"You're an artist?" Sarah asked.
"Yep," Elijah said, taking a swig of coffee.
"Well, I don't really have any plans, so I think I'll do some studying with Crystal in the library," Gladys said.
"I think I'll do the same with Eric," Sarah said, just as she noticed her sons hand glowing, "Josh?! Why are you're hands glowing?!" Sarah asked hysterically, looking bamboozled.
"Oh, uh, you want the long explanation or the short one?" Josh asked nervously.
"The short version," Eric said, crossing his arms.
"Ok, I was turning into a unicorn, Mommy found a spell to turn me back into a human, the spell left me with magic," Josh explained.
"Really?" Eric and Sarah asked simultaneously, which Josh nodded.
"Mommy tutored me in using magic too!" Crystal said.
"For realsies?!" Elijah asked.
"Yes, for realsies," Crystal replied.
"Wow, that's a lot of information to soak in," Rebecca said, as everyone finished their breakfasts, and deposited their dishes in the sink.
"Leave the dishes to me, ok?" Twilight asked, as everyone nodded, and left to go do their own thing.
"I've got nothing planned for the day Mom, so I'll help you out," Cory said, as he and his alicorn mother went to washing the dishes.

It's nice to have this back, this is one of my favorites, together with the croosover, Mavis story, and Clover's stories. All children really deserved to have their parents back after what they all went through.
