All her life Rainbow always dreamed of becoming a Wonder bolt and she finally has a chance to become one but something goes terribly wrong. This could possibly change her life and her friends life forever, she loses everything near and dear to her heart and cant remember who any pony is and is no longer the element of loyalty.

There are a few grammatical errors here and there. And you could do to slow down the pacing and giving a bit more description of the scene. You could also do with a bit more description of the dialogue, just so that we know whether, Rarity for example, gasps or she shrieks- that kinda thing.

Other than that your story seems pretty good to me! I'm quite looking forward to the next chapter; consider my interest piqued
