Not a bad story so far. Foremost, you should fix the grammar mistakes, as they're abundant. The characters are fairly OOC and the dialogue doesn't flow too well. Lastly, the story has very little to do with portals, so I would change the title or incorporate some more portal elements.
Keep at it and you'll do fine, though. Nice work.
