She Left Me Starstruck

I was taking a walk with Fluttershy in the Everfree Forest on Friday, she wanted me to help feed her Angel bunny or whatever. The idea of helping feed animals didn't seem very interesting to me but you know, I gotta do it. Why? Because I'm known for my loyalty. Sometimes I wish I could just back out of these lame activities but I just can't. Loyalty's my thing. All of a sudden, I heard a loud boom. Fluttershy and I both looked up into the sky to see a sonic rainboom... and I didn't do it! Following the sonic rainboom, there was a mare with a trail of rainbow behind her as she flew. It looked like the mare was flying down, towards Fluttershy and I! We both jumped out of the way as this strange mare flew closer to us, until a huge cloud of dirt came after she landed near us.

There was dust everywhere. The mysterious mare who did this was standing right in front of me. I couldn't quite make out who she was through all of this this dust, until I stepped closer and some of the dust cleared away. It was Starstruck. My sister. She is a year younger than me, but we are pretty much the same size. She has rainbow hair just like me, except her mane was a lot longer and messier yet better looking than mine. Her coat is pure white, but the tips of her wings and hooves are dipped black. (The last time I saw her she didn't have that.) And her cutiemark is a big rainbow S.

"Hey sis," she said with a smirk.
"Go back to Cloudsdale," I groaned. Starstruck and I aren't very fond of each other.. When we were little kids we always used to fight because she has always been better than me at everything, and I was jealous, so I liked to pick fights with her. But that's not it, she was always a bully to me too. That is why I don't really like to hang out in Cloudsdale anymore.
"Aren't you happy? I did a sonic rainboom! It was HUGE too! Waaaaay bigger than any sonic rainboom you've ever done!" she boasted. I rolled my eyes. Although I didn't look very impressed I was really surprised about the fact that I'm not the only one who can do a sonic rainboom. I thought that special talent made me unique. Apparently not. Everything I'm good at Starstruck has to be better. All of a sudden I heard a quiet voice behind me.
"Rainbowdash, who's that?" Fluttershy asked.
"That's Starstruck. She's my sister," I told her. Fluttershy smiled at Starstruck.
"She's pretty. Oh my goodness! I almost forgot! Poor Angel is probably starving by now!" Fluttershy said.
"Who's Angel?" asked Starstruck.
"Angel is my bunny. Do you want to come to my house with Rainbowdash to help feed him?" asked Fluttershy with a kind smile.
"Sure!" said Starstruck, still smirking at me. Starstruck and Fluttershy started to walk back to her house to feed Angel, but I stayed still. I was furious. Starstruck can steal my talent, but she can NOT steal my friend.
"You comin' Dash?" Starstruck turned around and asked.
"Uh yeah," I said in a cocky way. Of course I was coming! I can't let Starstruck steal Flutters from me! I trotted up to both of them and walked with them.

After Starstruck and Rainbowdash helped feed Angel, Rainbowdash flew up to her home

That night I couldn't sleep. I couldn't stop thinking about what Fluttershy had said to Starstruck before we left her house. She said Thank you so much for helping me Starstruck, you really have a way with animals. Oh, and thanks too, Rainbowdash. I just can't believe it. Thanks too, Rainbowdash. She sounds like she appreciates Starstruck's work a lot more than mine.

That weekend, Rainbowdash stayed in her home. She was still feeling down about what Fluttershy said to her, so she didn't really feel like doing anything. She stayed in her home until Monday afternoon, when she flew back down to Ponyville to see what's new.

Where were they? I was running all around Ponyville but I couldn't find my friends anywhere, until I saw them eating pie at Sweet Apple Acres with Starstruck. They were all laughing and having a great time. I stomped over to them.
"Now what is going on over here?" I yelled at my friends. "So my sister is just gonna replace me now, huh?"
"Woah, calm down Rainbowdash! Starstruck is actually a pretty awesome gal. She helped me plan my party that we had on Saturday!" said Pinkie Pie.
"Party?! What PARTY?!" I raged. "You guys had a party, and didn't even bother to invite me?!"
My "friends" and Starstruck all glared at Pinkie.
"Heheh.. oopsie!" Pinkie laughed nervously.
"Look Rainbowdash, it isn't really whatcha think. Starstruck has been coming to Ponyville lately and she has been helping us with a bunch of things so Pinkie wanted to throw a party to celebrate Starstruck's generosity or whatever, so she did. Starstruck told us that y'all don't exactly 'like' each other, so we didn't bother inviting you to come party with us," Applejack told me.
"But Starstruck ISN'T generous, she's mean!" I yelled while stomping my hoof on the ground.
"Maybe to you, but their has to be a reason for it. I mean, how can someone who helped me pick out the most adoring fashions be mean?" asked Rarity.
"Exactly," said Twilight. "Maybe you two should try and be more friendly with each other so we can all hang out together."
"I agree," said Fluttershy confidently.
"Well I don't!" I said. So after that I flew away from them, but not back to my home. I flew as far away from them as I could into the Everfree Forest.

A few hours later

The sun is setting. Although it is getting late, I don't plan on going anywhere else for the night. I've been sitting under this tall tree for a few hours, playing with a stick. How could I go back to my home in Cloudsdale when somepony could easily find me? I had to be hidden. I don't want to be around if I'm just going to be replaced. All of a sudden I heard a noise. It was a rustling noise from behind a tree a few feet away from me. My ears and wings perked straight up. If someone's here to mess with me, then they'll regret it. Then I discovered that that 'rustling noise' was a female unicorn watering her flowers here in the woods, near a bunch of bushes. While she was watering her flowers, at the corner of her eye she must've saw me because she dropped her can, shrieked then stared at me.
"I'm sorry to scare you it's just that I was just hanging out by this tree and I heard a noise... and I wanted to see what it was," I told the surprised mare.
"Oh, it's alright. You just made me jump a little because I didn't see you there at first, then I thought I was being stalked. I'm Felicity Mossrock," she said.
"I'm Rainbowdash," I added. Felicity's coat is a tannish color, and she has a dark green mane styled into a bun, along with emerald green eyes. Her cutiemark is 5 pink flowers, which seemed to look like the ones she was watering.

"Anyways, what brings you here Rainbowdash?" asked Felicity, bringing her watering can back to her with her magic from her horn.
"Well, um, I sorta ran away from my friends because they were using my mean sister to replace me," I said awkwardly.
"Why that's horrible! Do tell me more," said Felicity.

By the time Rainbowdash finished explaining everything to Felicity, it was night time.

"What an interesting story, but if you don't want to face your friends for a while, why don't you spend the night in my cottage? I certainly cannot leave you outside on a cold night like this," offered Felicity.
"Okay, but honestly I think I will do fine," I said. I was actually glad Felicity offered me to spend the night in her home. I just didn't want to look weak, like I couldn't handle sleeping outside for a change. Felicity then guided me to her cottage, even deeper into the forest.

The next morning

As I got out of the spare bed Felicity set up for me, I could smell a delicious scent. I then walked through the tiny hallway of the cottage and into the kitchen, to see the green-haired unicorn making pancakes.
"Why good morning Rainbowdash, I was just about to wake you up to come eat breakfast," she greeted.
"Those pancakes smell AMAZING!" I exclaimed with my mouth watering a little. Felicity smiled.
"Well, it is a family recipe." She then put 2 pancakes on 2 plates with her magic and carried them to the table. I sat down in a chair and began eating my first pancake. It tasted like HEAVEN.
"So Rainbowdash, I was thinking about your story... and my best advice for you is to go back to Ponyville. After all, you are the element of Loyalty. What if Ponyville becomes under attack and the elements of harmony need to be activated to save the day? And you won't be there, so Ponyville is doomed? You can't activate the elements of harmony unless you have every element," Felicity told me as the sat in her chair across from me. I put down my pancake.
"You're right.. if Ponyville is in danger, then everyone is doomed. Because of ME. Maybe I should go back... It was so selfish of me to abandon Ponyville and everyone I know just because I was being replaced by my sister. I mean there's no reason for everyone to suffer. And besides... Starstruck is better than me at a lot of things I do... but she could never replace an element of harmony," I said. "I have to go back. Right now." I stood up and got out of my chair. "Thank you soo much for everything, Felicity. I probably wouldn't have realized that I should go back to Ponyville if it weren't for you," I said.
"No problem. It is always good to help out a friend," she told me while smiling.

When Rainbowdash arrived back at Ponyville.

Everything seemed usual in Ponyville, no danger or anything. I was thankful everything was okay. I think that I should probably avoid my friends for now, because they did replace me with Starstruck. But I will not run away anymore, just incase I am needed to help activate the elements of harmony. I don't need them anyway... I am only doing this for Ponyville's sake. All of a sudden, I saw Pinkie Pie running towards me.
"Ohmygosh! There you are! I have to tell the others right away! You do not know how super duper happy I am that you're back! I was so so so so worried!" said Pinkie, bouncing in circles around me.
"Um.. you were?" That's all I could say to her.
"Well yeah! You're one of my BFFFFFFFLS!" she replied.
A few seconds later, Fluttershy, Twilight, Rarity, and Applejack came running towards Pinkie and I.
"You're back! After Starstruck abandoned us, we were searching for you EVERYWHERE in the Everfree forest for you, but we had no luck at all!" said Twilight.
"We're so happy that yer back, the Everfree Forest is so big that we couldn't possibly find ya," Applejack told me.
"Rainbowdash...." Fluttershy whispered. "We're so sorry about the way we treated you."
"Starstruck isn't at all what we thought she was... you were right.... she is mean," Rarity said.
"Woah woah woah!!!!! SLOW DOWN!! Now, can someone please tell me what happened after I left?!" I yelled.
"I will," volunteered Twilight. "So when you flew away, we were just about to get up and follow you but Starstruck blocked our way. She then said 'Don't. She is better off away from Ponyville. This is all apart of my plan. You see, I've been being generous to you guys so you like me more than Rainbowdash, leaving her HEARTBROKEN! I never actually LIKED you freaks! I have only been doing this to make Rainbowdash miserable! And since she abandoned Ponyville, I guess my work is done. Oh, and don't bother trying to find her in the Everfree Forest now. You'll never find her, HA!' and then she just flew off somewhere into Cloudsdale. After that, we tried to look everywhere for you in the Everfree Forest. We couldn't find you so we were so worried, and we felt awful about the way we treated you."
"Wow...." I said.
"Although it seemed like we liked Starstruck more than you, it wasn't true, honestly. She could never EVER replace you, Rainbowdash, we're so sorry you felt that way," Twilight added.
"It's okay. I'm just really glad you now realize what an absolute JERK Starstruck is," I told Twilight. "I don't know why she likes making my life so horrible all the time."
"We are so happy you forgive us!" Pinkie Pie exclaimed. "You know what this calls for.... A FORGIVNESS PARTY!" We all laughed and began walking to Pinkie's home to have the party.

I'm sorry to say, but this needs a lot of work.

Just to name a few issue: Flat antagonist who is just gratuitously better at Rainbow Dash's signature stunt because... because? Check.
Rainbow Dash's friends acting uncharacteristically oblivious? (Really? "We know you and she don't get along so we didn't invite you, our best friend, while we partied with your sister." Really? You snapped my suspension of disbelief in half right there.)
Also, I don't get how you somehow managed to mispelle one of the main characters' names. Rainbow Dash. With a space. It's in the show credits. It's in just about every reference on the show. It's everywhere. How does one miss that?

You should keep practicing, but this just isn't it.

Dash's friends don't...fit i guess. They 're too oblivious, too un-noticing. I doubt that they'd begin liking some random pony over their best friend. They're the elements of harmony, their friendship defeated Nightmare Moon and Discord for Celestia's sake!
Ask yourself this, would you prefer a random person you just met over your best friend? Then be completely oblivious to how hurt they are by it?

Also seriously, have i commented on your fic before? Did you re-write? THIS IS BUGGING ME!!

I don't believe you have seen this fanfiction before, this is the first time I submitted it. And Rainbow Dash's friends didn't really like her sister more than her, although that's how it looked in Rainbow Dash's eyes. They were just hanging out with her to thank her for helping them out. Rainbow's friends didn't notice she was upset at first because she stayed in her house the whole weekend. However, they found out she was upset when she found them at Sweet Apple Acres. They were going to follow her after she flew away, but Starstruck blocked their way

I'm sorry you didn't like my story, it's my first one.. I apologize about the misspelling of Rainbow Dash, I didn't realize I was spelling it wrong And Rainbow Dash's friends just threw a little party to thank Starstruck, it was nothing serious, but to Rainbow Dash it was. Her friends just didn't want to invite her because they didn't want her and Starstruck to fight. It looked bad to Rainbow Dash, but it really wasn't.
