2 - The New Beginning

December 23

After dismissal, they chatted as they walked straight to Sweet Apple Acres. Eternum was very excited to see her home, hoping that it can make his life worthwhile. They reached their destination, Eternum looked at all the crops and the land mass. He said,

"Nice. I would guess that you and your family are very hardworking in gathering every necessary things for survival, right,?" said the young colt with a look of interest.

"Yah, it's to keep our feet going." Apple Bloom replied with a smile and a little giggle.

They went inside the house, Apple Bloom showed him every parts inside it, then showing him her room. Eternum was very suprised to see it. She then told him that he can stay in her room if he wants, Eternum responded,

"Sure. I love to feel the slumber indoors again," he gave out smile to her.

"Do ya want to stay in mah bed?"

"Are you sure?," Eternum replied with a nervous look on his face. "That bed is good for one pony."

"That's all right, we can share the bed together." Apple Bloom placed her hoove at his neck.

"How about you set up instead a hay and at least a blanket on the floor? I'll be okay when sleeping on the floor"

Apple Bloom frowned at him first, but after understanding his decision, she gladly accept it.

"Alright then, if ya need to sleep with me, don't hesitate to ask later." Apple Bloom then walked out to get the hay and another blanket.

Moments later after setting up the improvised bed for Eternum, the two went outside, chatting as they walked straight to a hill. Eternum and Apple Bloom were lying down on the grass, looking at the sky, and pointing out one of the clouds that can be any symbols or resemblance. Feeling the cool breeze upon his flank, Eternum asked Apple Bloom,

"Hey Apple Bloom, is it okay if we uhh... you know....," he stared at her, then looks away.

"What again, pardner?," said the young filly who just scratched her left ear.

"If I tell you, will it be alright to you?. Eternum then started to feel his hooves and body being frozen in place due to being imprahansive. "Of course, if you don't want to, I'm okay with it."

"It's okay with me, just tell me what ya want to say," the young filly moved closer to him.

Feeling that she's very close to him to hear one of his words, Eternum calmly responded, " I just hope if it's okay to you if we can do something together for fun just you and me."

Apple Bloom replied, "Sure. Ah love to do that." Apple Bloom hold his hoof with a cute smile, Eternum was very suprised that he wished for came to a reality.

The two ponies walked to the center of the town, looking for anything to start with. Apple Bloom suggested bowling, Eternum accepted it even if he's still unfamilar about it. She then grabbed Eternum's left hoof, running straight to the bowling building. Eternum asked her that he doesn't know what is bowling, Apple Bloom explained to him about it then began showing how to play the game. Eternum watched her as she grabbed the ball using her mouth, running straight, then letting go the ball, hitting the objects completely. Eternum was very nervous about it because he thinks he will end up badly. It was now his turn to give it a shot, Eternum was sweating with fear of being a failure, but he's determine to succeed for her. He grabbed the ball with his mouth then ran to the line. Just as he was about to let go the ball, he slipped instead straight to the objects, hitting his head really hard at the wall. He couldn't get up, but he still have his consciousness, Apple Bloom ran straight to him with a shocking look because of his head. Eternum said he apologize for letting her see that, Apple Bloom replied, "That's okay, some ponies can't get used to it. That was something ah didn't expect." Apple Bloom helped him in getting up. She asked him if he can still do it, he nodded with a cracking smile on his face. The two walked back to Sweet Apple Acres, Apple Bloom suggested a hide and seek game, Eternum accepted her suggestion and they began to play the game. After a while, they swimmed near a waterfall then raced to ponyville, Eternum was exhausted after starting from the hill then to the center of town. Hardly controlling his hooves, Apple Bloom sent him to the park to sit on the bench. Apple Bloom asked him that if he wants a milkshake, Eternum nodded and said he wants the usual. Apple Bloom then told him to wait for her while she buys it. As he waits for her return, he heard a whisper. He thinked it was just the wind, but the whisper became stronger that he badly needs to know where it's source be. He looked around, but nopony was there, he walked back to sit at the bench and then he saw a note next to his side. He read it and it said:

"Eternum, do not worry, you are not alone. I know you can't recall who I am or you ever forgot about me, but I promise you that when the time comes, I'll be there by your side."

After reading it, he saw Apple Bloom returned with the milkshakes. The two began drinking their milkshakes, looking at the sky as sunset wass about to fall. Eternum asked her,

"Apple Bloom."

"Yeah?"

"Thanks for giving me the best time of my life," said the young colt.

"Sure, Ah'm glad to have a friend like you. You are very sweet and kind," said the young filly.

"Apple Bloom, uhhh... I-I-I-I...." Eternum was very imprahansive to tell the word.

"I what, pardner?," the young filly moved closer to him.

Eternum was very nervous to say it cause she may think hate him or getting distance from him. After taking a deep breath, he said in a calm manner,

"I love you. I love you because you gave me the happiness that I always wanted!" Eternum was about to cry.

"Ah love ya too, pardner." Apple Bloom wiped off the tears from his face then embraced him. Eternum embraced her back tightly.

After an hour passed, Apple Bloom and Eternum walked back home, eating dinner then preparing to go to sleep. Before they can sleep, Apple Bloom asked him that he can still sleep next to her whenever he wants to, Eternum decided to sleep beside her. After a while in getting comfortable next to her, they began to sleep. Eternum was very happy to have the best pony in his life to understand his story and giving him great memories. Eternum dreamed about the note he found at the bench, he began talking in his mind,"Who is this pony? How does he know me? Well, I guess I'll have to figure that out soon enough".

WITH THOSE WORDS, HE WILL FIND OUT WHO IS THIS PONY. HOW DOES HE/SHE KNOWS HIM OR WHAT DOES HE/SHE WANTS FROM HIM? WE WILL FIND OUT SOON IN THE NEXT OF ETERNUM'S STORY CALLED: NOT ALONE IN LIFE, BUT ALONE IN THE DARKNESS...
