That said... Oh God. Oh my fucking GOD. This, so far, is the very best chapter in terms of quality, and it's horrible at the same time (but in the good way). Genital mutilation, eye damage, bones breaking, glass torture, all things I could easily visualize a particularly crazed high-schooler do. It's like someone threw a crack-and-amphetamines bomb in the city. Ngh...
The ponies' reactions was leagues better as well, in-character but still with a bit of denial: Rainbow Dash was more mature than I expected, but that's perfectly okay, I can see where she's coming from if I extrapolate a little on how mature canon!Equestria is. Celestia's, too, surprised me, and in a good way: her shed of a tear demonstrates she's just as much of a sensible pony as well as she is the Great Princess.
