Broken mind or dreams come true?

Chapter 1

After minutes of just staring, Zack finally closed his mouth, his eye twitching a little. He lowered the baseball bat he was holding.

’Wait a minute...’ he thought to himself. ‘Applejack, Rarity, Pinkie Pie, Rainbow Dash, Twilight sparkle and Flutters-’

‘Wait, where is Fluttershy?’He began looking around the room, not moving from his position. He finally spotted a speck of pink hair coming out from behind his couch. A faint smile drew to his lips.

‘’Uuhh.. Excuse me?’’ He heard a familiar voice ask. He turned towards the source of the sound.
It was Twilight Sparkle on the table.

‘’Where exactly are we?’’ she asked.
‘’Y- you’re in my living room.’’ Zack answered, his voice stuttering a little.
‘’Ok.’’
‘’In America to more specific’’
‘’I’ve never heard of this ‘America’’’ she seemed to be deep in thought.
‘’How.. did you get in my living room?’’ he asked.
‘’What? Oh, we really don’t know either. We just kind of... appeared here.’’

Zack mind was in chaos right now. Different fanfics, he has read where racing through his mind. He was overjoyed that his wish finally came true, but he doesn’t know how to deal with this. He thought up different scenarios about what would happen if they found out about the show.
He finally came to the decision, that he would simply try not to mention the show or the huge community it has created.

‘’Soo... who are you?’’ Zack asked. He tried to dodge the fact that he knew basically everything about them.
As soon as he had said those words, a rainbow streak flew across the room stopping right in front of Zack. Zack was now face to face with the fastest flier in Equestria.
‘’Hey!Why should we tell you, chump!’’Rainbow said with an annoyed tone.
‘’Hey! Who’re you calling a chump, chump!’’ Zack replied.
‘’Rainbow! We are the ones in his living room!’’ Twilight said loydly. Rainbow Dash backed away slowly, not taking her gaze off of him. Zack was returning the gaze.

Twilight stepped off the table and introduced herself:
‘’My name is Twilight Sparkle.’’ she said confidently.
‘’Uhh.. my name is Zack’’ he replied nervously.
The orange pony stepped from the couch.
‘’Name’s Applejack!’’ She said with a strong southern accent. She extended her hoof for a friendly hand/hoof shake. He grabbed her hoof.

After the strongest hand shake he had ever endured, the pink pony started bouncing right next to him.
‘’I’m Pinkie Pie!’’ she asked with an overly excited tone.
‘’Oohh. What are you? Where do you come from? Do you like cupcakes? I love cupcakes! The other day, I was trying to get Rainbow Dash to help me bake cupcakes, but she refused for some weird reason...’’
She kept on going on, Zack was just hopelessly trying to follow her. He was failing. Finally the white unicorn pony stepped up to Zack.
‘’I’m Rarity, but you can call me miss Rarity.’’ she said calmly.
Zack remembered from countless fanfics he had read and the show, that she preferred gentlemen.
‘’Pleasure to meet such a lady with such grace, miss Rarity.’’ he said. Like a true gentleman.
‘’Well aren’t you a gentleman.’’ she said.

The rainbow maned pegasus flew to eye level from Zack.
‘’I’m Rainbow Dash. Just the best flier in all of Equestria!’’ she said in a proud manner.
‘’Yea, I even heard that you pulled off the sonic rainboom.’’ Zack said with a smirk.
‘’Twice.’’ The pegasus pony added.

‘’Wait... where’s Fluttershy?’’ Twilight wondered outloud. A small squeek could be heard coming from behind Zack’s couch. He saw the shy pegasus peek out of the corner of the couch.

‘’I’m Fluttershy.’’ It was barely hearable.
‘’Didn’t quite catch that.’’ Zack said with a slight smile.
‘’Umm... I’m Fluttershy.’’ She said with a quiet tone, hiding behind her long, flowing mane.
Zack just sighed to himself.

There was awkward silence after he cleaned up the remnants of a lamp, that somebody managed to break. Nobody knew what to say. They all just sat on the couches in total silence. It was Twilight who finally broke the long silence.

‘’Soo... what exactly are you?’’ She asked, looking up and down Zacks body.
‘’I’m a human male.’’ He said, resting his head on his hand.
‘’What? But I thought that humans were just a legend!’’ She yelled, startling poor Fluttershy. All ponies were now staring at Zack. He felt a cold drop of sweat on his forehead.
‘’We-ell...’’ His voice stuttered.
‘’Humans are very real here. We are the dominant species in this world. Let’s just say that talking, colorful, flying and magic using ponies aren’t very common here... because they don’t exist.’’
Zack continued, eyeing the ponies.
‘’Is it true that you humans can’t use magic?’’ Twilight asked with a bright smile.
‘’Wait a second partner.’’ Applejack interjected.
‘’You’re saying that we mysteriously appeared in a world without ponies?’’ She asked, looking at Zack.
‘’Eeyup!’’ Zack answered. Applejack looked at him with a weird look on her face for a second.
The silence was cut off by a sound. It was low, but audible. Someone was hungry! The growling came from all of the six ponies bellies. Zack noticed it, looking at Twilight, who had a slight blush on her face.
‘’Umm.. do you have anything to eat?’’ She asked politely, the blush on her face fading.
‘’Let me check.’’ Zack said as he rose from the couch. He walked to his bag, that he forgot, when he came inside. Let’s just say, that his groceries weren’t the first thing in his mind when he thought, that his apartment was being invaded.

He only found the bacon, that he bought. The manliest of foods, but he thought that the ponies wouldn’t be so thrilled to eat it.

He walked over to his fridge, the ponies in his living room observing his movements. He opened the door to find a bottle of Coca-cola, a pack of bacon, some putting and a rotten apple.
Great.. He thought to himself. I have to go to the store again..

He entered the living room, seeing six hungry looking ponies staring at him. Fluttershy finally coming out from behind the couch, now sitting next to Rarity on the couch.

‘’Sorry, I’m kind of out of food.’’ He said, knowing well that the ponies didn’t eat meat.
‘’I’m going to have to go to buy some.’’ He continued. The ponies started looking at each other.
‘’But...’’ Zack said, getting the attention of the ponies.
‘’I need you to stay here. Because there aren’t many talking ponies here, I don’t know how people will react to you.They probably would try to imprison you.’’ The ponies looks turned to worry.
‘’I need you to stay here for today.’’ continued.
‘’But you took us very well.’’ Twilight said to Zack.
‘’Well... yes, because I’m kind of the weird person compared to others.’’ He said, a drop of sweat appearing on his forehead.

Zack went out the door into the outside world. leaving the ponies in his apartment. As soon as he left, Twilight sighed.
‘’What are we getting ourselves into...’’ She said quietly to herself. Pinkie Pie was going through the little cabinets beneath Zacks TV. Rarity was gagging at the living room. Imagine who’d she react to his bedroom. Rainbow Dash was slowly floating in the air, looking bored. Applejack and Fluttershy were just looking around his apartment.

After a long silence between the ponies, Rainbow finally spoke:
‘’This is so boring! This world sucks! I mean, just look out there.’’ She flew next to the large window behind the TV.
‘’They aren’t even keeping the shy clear!’’ The whole sky was colored gray. There were large rainclouds all over the sky.
‘’I could clear that sky i 19 seconds flat!’’ She continued.
‘’Remember Rainbow. We’re in a different place now. Maybe everything works differently here.’’ Twilight said to the rainbow maned pegasus.
‘’But this is so booring...’’ The pegasus whined.

Zack came out of the store, bags filled with all sorts of goodies in his hands. He walked towards his home, when he saw something in the sky. A rainbow streak.
Oh no.. He thought to himself as he started to run toward his apartment. He quickly got to his home.
He opened the door. He set the bags down as he went into the living room. He saw a shocked Twilight and an open window.

‘’What happened?!’’ Zack asked, clearly starting to sweat.
‘’She left.’’ Applejack replied.

Zack darted toward the door. He was outside running towards the rainbow streak in the sky.
He ran in the street, running past some faceless and colorless people. It had started to rain.
There he was, running in the street in the rain after a rainbow streak in the sky. Running in a croud of people, not even paying any attention to him. All he could think of was all the things they would do to the ponies if they were found out. Experiments, interrogations... dissections. The thought of them dissecting Fluttershy sent shivers down his spine. He couldn’t let that happen.

He ran a couple of miles. Hi whole thought consisting of repeating: Ohgodohmanohgodohman. He tripped over his own foot, landing face first in the mud. He lifted his gaze from the ground. What he saw made his heart skip a beat. It was Pinkie pie, just happily bouncing down the street. He thought that that was it. They would get caught. Dissected.
‘’Come on silly!’’ She said with a happy tone. Not even noticing the people walking around them.
They didn’t pay any attention to him OR Pinkie. It was like they weren’t even there.

Zack finally lifted himself up from the ground, covered in mud. He kept a steady pace for the rest of the run. Noticing that people were paying no attention to the bouncing, humming, pink pony infront of him. They walked to a park, where Rainbow had flied into.

Zack lifted his gaze to the sky, searching for the pegasus. The next thing he saw blew his mind.
He saw a rainbow streak coming from the sea of gray clouds. Suddenly a loud bang was heard.
A giant ring filled with the colors of the rainbow filled the sky. Drowning ouy the gray clouds.
Zack could only stare at this amazing spectacle.

He sat on the wet grass. Pinkie sat right next to him. Pinkie cheered for Rainbow Dash, as Zack just sat there in amazement at the glorious spectacle of colors.

You know, all it really does is hinder a person when they try to act like they don't know the ponies they're talking to.
Honestly it's not that hard to explain to the ponies how Bronies know of them. All they'd have to do is put it in vague terms like "On my world we watch other worlds for fun." And leave it at that. It might be a little awkward at first but that'd clear up pretty quickly.

Trying to dance around the existence of the show only makes it hard on everybody.
