I would have commented sooner, but I wanted to really read through both chapters before making any comments. I'm funny that way.
Overall, it's a really good story. I'm not into a lot of "dark" fiction, and yet I feel an urge to continue on with the story to see where it's going to go next. For hooking me in like that, good job. The premise of the story (the revenge angle) is a good one, and I am curious as to how all of this ties in, but I suspect that will be revealed in future chapters. There are places where I felt the descriptions are a bit wordy and unnecessarily so. It didn't distract me from the main story, but I did feel the urge to "tune out" some of the more obvious things being pointed out in the descriptions. That's pretty much the only flaw I'm seeing with the story so far.
You are doing an excellent job, and I look forward to reading more.
