The saying applies to everything - careers, relationships, life. It applies to everypony, too. We all rise, hit a peak and fall. We don’t necessarily hit rock bottom, but most of us come close.

I thought I was doing so well. Between constantly saving the kingdom from villains, saving villains from themselves, and realizing my full potential as an Equestrian princess, life was really good.

When did it all go wrong? How did it all go wrong? When did I stop listening to my friends? Why do I keep hurting them? Since when did I become the cause of Equestria’s major catastrophes?

Since always. You were always a disaster. And you always will be.

After a meteor strike disables their base’s radio array, Ray Tube and Moondust are sent to find another array to contact headquarters and save their mission.  However, their suits’ radios are also broken, and they cannot speak to each other.  The moon is a lonely place, filled with ancient spectres seeking company.  

The mind is quick to hear demons in the silence.  How can they warn each other when they can’t even speak its name?  

This fic is an entry to the “No Dialogue Contest” hosted by Perfectly Insane.

It was funny how forces who were irrefutably attracted to one another could pull farther and farther away from each other, like the sun and the moon in their never-ending chase. Rarity and Twilight had married and purchased a modest home on the outskirts of Ponyville eons ago. A refuge from their hectic and chaotic lives.

And yet, nowadays they never occupied it at the same time.

How strange, that it was a complete anomaly that two married ponies would be in the same room at the same time.

Once upon a time there was a doubter and a rationalist. There was no one at work more ruthless than him. He had no friends, he really wanted to be strong and independent, but suddenly he was hit by a train. How can he survive in a new world unknown to him, and also in the body of a mare hated by everyone?

UPDATE 4/7/25: The story will be on hiatus while I'm gone for the next few months. From what I currently know, I might be able to write more after 2ish months, but I could be wrong. I should be back around between June-September.

UPDATE 6/22/25: i will be back around September for writing. That's when I'll be done with Air Force Fire Academy.

Have you ever wondered where the phrase "Secret Squirrel Stuff" comes from? Well this is it. This is where.

The Black Squirrel Brigade belongs to the Equestrian Army, which was created during the Great War as "special forces". Next to nothing is known about them.

For some creatures, they are believed to only be myth, for others (mostly Changelings), they are feared. For everycreature else, they don't know.

Myths can only travel so far.

How much work are you willing to do to prove they exist?

Twilight's on a time limit to find a friend to bring for Celestia's event. A Hearts and Hooves event.

With the onset of the Equestrian Civil War, Light Shine finds himself in the middle of hostile territory with few friends or allies. The entire east coast of Equestria has broken free and now brings war to Celestia and her loyalists. Desperate to escape capture and eager to strike back at the Nightmarist and communist traitors, Light flees to his home city of Stableside, confident that its traditionally strong ties to Celestia will prove enough to remain loyal to Equestria.

Once home, however, what is to be done? Cut off from Equestria proper on all sides, how can the loyal resistance hope to survive? And if the unthinkable happens to Celestia…

…will it prove wise to follow the sun to the end?
