Contest Theme
(For full details, see the the contest announcement and rules document itself, linked here.)
Some of you have already heard of John Cage's famous orchestral work, 4'33" (wikipedia link). Others of you might be reading about it for the first time.
For this contest, write a story somehow inspired by John Cage's most famous and also easiest to perform musical masterpiece.
Ideally, your story will be interesting and entertaining, or poignant and meaningful, or at least more enjoyable than watching people scrape up bubble gum off the sidewalk.
Stories will be judged partly on whether and how you apply the contest theme. Creativity is fine. Maybe creativity is even necessary.
Starting NOW, you have until "April 33rd," also known as May 3rd.
Stories should not directly include any full copy of (or lengthy excerpt from) the sheet music of 4'33" itself, as that would violate fimfiction.net's official ban on quoting a copyrighted (non-MLP) song's lyrics.
Your story should be in a straightforward textual format, like this contest rules document is (not dependent on graphics, pictures, fancy formatting, etc.) This makes your story potentially renderable by a screen reader, a braille converter, etc., to make your entry accessible to the deaf ~and/or~ AND blind.
