First it was just a few sparks of magic that come out. Then one day, it seemed like a freak accident. A random stallion, his magic causing an explosion of great force causing a collapse in a building. Multiple casualties and some survivors shaken. Now some other unicorns are showing symptoms, but not as note-worthy. These ponies want answers.

This is an alternative universe I call Antithesis Reigns. It's based around the idea that if there are elements of harmony. There are also elements of disharmony. Their actions can be seen in massive events in the shows; however, they're never named as such. Unfortunately, to point out these events and name the element that they are I feel will be spoilers for the rest of the story.

It begins with an old friend of Luna's, Cobalt Stroke. His relationship with Luna's is that a bitter and lonely misanthrope would latch onto someone that's sincerely kind to and interested in seeing her. His special talents are languages and linguistics, especially when translating old texts. Through his ability and some texts buried in the royal dungeons, Luna is able to obtain overwhelming power and she begins The Cult of the Waxing Moon.
