Hello ponies young and old!
It has been a little while since I've put anything out in general and on Secrets specifically. All is well in the world but my career has been keeping me exceedingly busy. As a result, my personal time has been reduced and the time I do have I've been devoting mostly to Crystal. Mango gets a little bit of it too.
I came home to something awesome.
Hey all, I just wanted to put out one last reminder that the Message in a Bottle Act 2 fundraiser is nearly complete. For anyone who didn't get a chance to get the last one, or who wants a copy of book two, you have about five days from the moment I'm posting this to make that choice! If you haven't taken the time to get a good look at everything, why not do so here:
Many of you know I've been writing in the Friendship is Optimal universe for years now. I've explored some fun ideas in all that time, eventually writing 250,000 words of short stories, and one novel. I felt like all those stories would make for good candidates for a hardcover, and finally had the time to put them all together!
Hey everyone, just wanted to pass the message on that the Through the Aurora hardcover print is just above done fundraising. We smashed our goal, and the book will still be made, though probably a little delayed given the global pandemic.
March Live Event
The March live event went off without a hitch last night and was a lot of fun. We had a lot of new faces and the crowd was pretty large. Plus we had a ton of great questions. We hope you'll join us in April for our next event!
There were a few announcements this month that we wanted to follow up with here.
Cameo Call Winners
2016s first cameo call was a big success! We had over 40 unique entries! Here are the winners:
Hello everyone!
I am pleased to announce that I have received my review copy of Them and it looks great! My first completed fanfiction novel, it comes in at a comparatively slender 246 page hardcover. Unlike Pirene, I elected to go with a matte printed cover rather than a sleeve, which I feel like I should have done with Pirene originally to be frank, and this is what it looks like:
I've launched the printing project of the fic Project: Sunflower by Hoopy McGee. You can read more about it in my Project Harmonics forum post.
Hey ponies! Just providing a quick, final update to the Indiegogo campaign. Today is the final full day that the campaign will be running (although I think indiegogo itself has a weird cutoff that may cross into tomorrow in some time zones).
Hello everyone! Just thought I'd drop one final reminder that the Fine Print hardcover adaptation is nearing the end of its funding period. The book was funded on the first day, but if anyone reading this has been putting it off, time is about to run out.
Hey pones, got something super exciting to share with you today! So way back in April, I ran a publishing project for Message in a Bottle, one of my most successful stories ever. In the end, we printed almost two hundred copies for that print run, shipping to fourteen countries.
So today marks the first month of my new job working in a state prison and, needless to say, it's been quite the transition. My entire writing schedule has been thrown for a loop as I have less time to work on my stories and spend more time in the company of wards of the state. My recent output, 'PTHBTT' and 'Kiss Me,' were both written long hand in the midst of down time during my shift.
As promised time and again, here is my blog detailing how to order a copy of one of the books I offered at the Golden Oaks Bookstore in the Bronycon 2019 vendor hall.
Lots of folks doing this, but I promise I won't be too long winded. I stand amongst those that enjoyed the finally. Yes, perhaps interpretation of the time travel was simplified, but it gave us wonderful glimpses into the consequences of the adventures failed if our favorite ponies never became friends. My only criticism was related to the revelation Starlight's motivation, but I've never been too critical of the show. Everything has its ups and downs, its
Hey pones, got some good news for once in this dreadful year.
We faced some delays getting our hands on the art, and with printing of the Through the Aurora hardcover. But the misery is over now, the artists are finished, and I have this awesome book in my hands!
Hey pones, just wanted to get this update published on the results of the Message in a Bottle hardcover project. This thing was an undertaking I could scarcely imagine at the start, but I'm happy to announce today that every book has been shipped.
