You know what they say about the best laid plans? I'll be real brief with this update, for reasons that will be self-evident.

State of the Scribe: February 2024

Another month, albeit the shortest of the year. I still haven't had a chance to get into the process side of my writing and write that detailed plan for the year, been too busy writing a novel. Guess that's a good problem to have.

State of the Scribe: January 2024

This is exactly the 71st month I've posted a patreon calendar. Almost but not quite six years of writing fanfic, sharing all these ideas with you that would otherwise stay trapped in my head. I couldn't begin this post, and the beginning of a new year without expressing my profound thanks to everyone who keeps supporting me. Your help, big or small, is the only reason I'm still able to write

New Story: The First Willowbrook Christmas!

Hey pones! A Merry Christmas to those who celebrate! Last year I wrote a short story for the holiday, but the editing pushed it back for a little while. For those who enjoyed Sisters of Willowbrook, I have a story for you to check out! The final chapter will get posted tomorrow:

Through the Aurora: Proof is here! · 2:53am Jul 4th, 2020

Hey pones, got some good news for once in this dreadful year.

We faced some delays getting our hands on the art, and with printing of the Through the Aurora hardcover. But the misery is over now, the artists are finished, and I have this awesome book in my hands!

Now that I've confirmed the quality of the print (the illustrations look great, check one of them out below), the next step is to order the books. This creates a unique opportunity for anyone who wanted a book before, but didn't order one, to get in on the project without having to deal with any delays. If anyone wants one of these fantastic-looking books, check out the link here: https://igg.me/at/through-the-aurora/x#/

I'm not a professional photographer or anything, but here are some more photos of this fantastic book:

Check out those awesome illustrations. There's well over a dozen of these.

The front. My phone doesn't capture just how great these colors look.

And the back.

...well, at very least printed book can't be erased from your reading device due to, hm, 'error'. Or at least not very casually ...so, having actual printed book is something I probably should repeat ..... my previous attempt was at Recombinant 63 (hm, this one even had review on goodreads? ah, no, just page.)

That's a beautiful book to have on a shelf.

I'm gonna put this with the other 800 stories

Once my rent is paid and if there are any left I will Definitely get one!

Same, Roll on monday when I can see if I have enough!

Do you think  they will be doing a audiobook. :twilightsmile.
cuz I will get it

How much is it with shipping?

Holy smokes. I never read this story, but that is the most GORGEOUS fanfic hard cover I've ever seen.

:pinkiegasp:

How much would it be with shipping? - to Canada

edit:
Never mind, put a fake name and info through - looks like $20 U.S. shipping to Canada.

US shipping is a flat $5. International shipping is more, based on the nation you're in.

Thanks star!
I'm looking at getting a copy just need to see how the money tree shakes out this week.

Any plans for a print/reprint of last pony on earth in the coming months?

5302035
I still have a few copies on my shelf from the first printing, but I doubt I do another one once they run out. Those are on that IndieGoGo, HERE.

Oh my word, this is STUNNING.

I received my copy! Really happy with the book quality!

5309144
Oh, you did? That's so cool, glad to hear it!

5302056
Ooh, I missed that the first time around, so I'm glad to see there are still some copies left! Since it's past the original end date, do I need to do anything beyond the usual payment through IndieGoGo, or am I good now that I've done that?

Also, even though it looks like some people have gotten their copies of Through the Aurora already, I haven't seen any sign of mine yet, or even gotten any tracking info or similar on it. Is that still to be expected at this point, or should I be concerned I might have to take some sort of action?

There's probably nothing to worry about at this stage. No one in the United States has got their orders yet, since I ship those out myself, and I haven't got the shipment of all those books yet. But the international distributor works directly with the printer, so they skim those books off the top before I even get them.

Normally this happens in the reverse order, but because I'm in the US, and so is my printer, covid has slowed their normal turnaround times from 7 days to 24 days. I expect every international order will get their books before the first US order does (I've seen international books delivered as far away as Israel already).

Just keep an eye out for my blog post when the books get here. Expect to get shipping information within a day of that, assuming you're a US domestic order. If you're an international order, the distributor doesn't provide tracking information, so you'll have to PM me with your contribution number, and I can look it up.

5318746
Ah, that makes sense. I'm U.S., so under the circumstances the wait's probably no cause for concern, and now that I don't need to wonder if I should worry I can be patient. (Incidentally, I can also be patient for the copy of LPOE if packaging both books together would make things easier for you – it feels like a real waste to send them separately only a week or two apart, unless all the available packaging can only fit one at a time or something.)

Is this book still available?

5397629
Yes! I've got a few left on the shelf. Just use the Indiegogo link to order: https://igg.me/at/through-the-aurora/x#/

5398364
Hey it took me a week, but I got there. Ordered!

5401698
NIce! Already passed on the order to the distributor.
