Start with the bad... Due to circumstances beyond my control, I must officially declare the background pony print terminated. I wish I could go into more details, but I don't have them myself. I am sad that this project couldn't see completion, but now that this has opened up a slot on our team, we should be able to begin a new project soon.
I finished reading through Shortskirtsandexplosions' Background Pony roughly five minutes ago and I only managed to stop crying a few seconds ago.
What's this? A package? I don't remember ordering anything... Especially not from so far away. Let's see what's inside.
Nope, still don't remember ordering this. But I can't help but feel like there's something familiar about these books.
Applejack, I came to cheek up on you. I haven't seen you in a while
Mrs. Cake's laughter cut itself short as she noticed the ground was giving rhythmic tremors that were progressively growing stronger. She turned to the source, and her mouth opened in shock as she saw the biggest pony in recorded history walk up to her, cast his Warshovel down on the counter, and then sit and square her with his gaze.
"I hear you make the hardest punch in this...'Ponyville'." Rockhoof grunted. "I'll take a pint."
After "Slice of Life" and "Do Princesses Dream of Magic Sheep?" there was no way I could not rank the background ponies again, seeing as they got quite the chance to shine. "Amending Fences" also gave a few background ponies a chance to shine, so those three episodes alone warranted updating this list.
Because then I end up writing stuff like this.
I wrote this sort of pseudo-metafiction-slash-review stream-of-consciousness 'thing' to myself after finishing Background Pony (about 5 months ago), which took days to read but was totally worth it even though the ending was horribly, horribly depressing. I don't think I smiled for a while after finishing it.
Then I kind of forgot about it and never did anything with it. So, here it is, all
As expected, I loved the episode. Now obviously, spoilers are ahead so just don't read this post if you haven't watched it.
Who would be Sketchy Clouds' (me) best friend? It cant be one of the mane six or princesses. It has to be someone like Cloudchaser or Strawberry Sunrise.

Looks like I missed the printing of two of my favorite fics. I've only found out too late. I wonder if anybody else is printing Background Pony or the Time Loop trilogy.

A tad late, but only because I was on vacation. Now that I have returned, I'm free to give you my thoughts on Slice of Life. And, oh boy, do I have some thoughts on this one.
Spoilers. You have been warned.
More art! But not from me (as the lower right corner clearly shows.) Won an art raffle, and IJAB was awesome enough to draw some Sassaflash for me (plus her possible-EqG version!) Sassy just doesn't get enough love. Heaven knows why Caramel gets so much attention.

This December I'm going to start taking requests from people on what kind of Christmas story to write. (Like a prompt or a story idea)
I leave for vacation tomorrow and won't be back until after the holidays. To compensate, I have a double feature for you fine folks. One version that I wrote, and the other written by my good friend John Perry.

At the local hayburger joint, a line had formed at the counter of rather confused ponies holding their recently-placed orders. Each one in turn was confused as they went up to the burger flipper in turn and showed him that all they had received was a hay patty with toppings.
All the burger flipper could do was shrug. "It's our new special, man. 'Naked Hayburgers'."
"Happy birthday, dear Orange Marmalade! Happy birthday to you!"
So in my continued efforts to get back into art, I drew this freehand and upside down from a photograph. It makes me think of Sassaflash from my new fic.
