It seems that the hurricane season is well upon us; between Hurricane Harvey two weeks ago, and Hurricane Irma demolishing several islands in the Caribbean, while two more wend their way around the Atlantic and Gulf of Mexico, there’s quite a bit of atmospheric excitement. It is very easy to try and write reviews of a lot of short stories. It lets you get through large numbers of works in a short period of time… but it also means you’re avoiding many of the longer works, many of which I added to my Read It Later list because they were supposed to be quite good.
