Artemis Fowl (in the era of Censorship-via-Capitalism) · 5:36am Apr 27th, 2020

I just watched the Artemis Fowl trailer, excited that we'd finally see an adaptation of one of the best, most influential works of sci-fi literature, even knowing it'd probably be sub-par...

...I have never been so sickened and enraged by the idea of a movie in my entire life.

Carol of the Day: Dec 6th · 11:55pm Dec 6th, 2019

Today's song a slight deviation. In honor of St. Nicholas day, we're going to look at "Zie Ginds Komt de Stoomboot", a Dutch song children sing as they welcome the arrival of Sinterklaas.

Translated as "Look, Here Comes the Steamboat", children sing about how Sinterklaas (St. Nicholas) is travelling from Spain his his horse and the Black Peter(s) to deliver presents to them.

Illness vs. Sickness · 2:27am Jul 11th, 2020

I haven't been able to write (or do) hardly anything in months, even though I'm off during the Summer and stuck inside. At first I thought it was mental illness, but much of it's still physical, and I don't quite know where the separation twixt the two lies.

Also, the brony world appears to have descended into chaos.

"Show, don't tell" brings the exact same emotional miscommunication we face in real life to our fiction · 6:17am Mar 17th, 2020

I recently finished Malcom Gladwell's latest book: Talking to Strangers. It's a good read, if bleak and unsettling. One chapter of the book that really got my brain going was on the ability of humanity to "read" the emotions of others. (I cannot find online anywhere the work cited for Chapter 6: "The Friends Fallacy"—my library audiobook version didn't have it—so I'm talking about this from my untrustworthy memory)

Bonzour, zot tou!

Roughly translates to “Hello, everyone!”

You know, it’s just occurred to me that I’ve never actually talked about where I’m from. Sure, I’ve mentioned it here and there, but never in detail.

Time to rectify that.

Hiya, lovely peeps, and greetings from Mauritius! ‘Tis a small island country off the east coast of mainland Africa, with a population of around 1.3 million people.

GOB's Fallout Equestria: Blackjack and Hookers · 6:55pm Nov 11th, 2015

After getting pretty far in Fallout 3's process, I feel like I know just enough to write my own Fallout Equestria with my own character, and my own plot. All I have to do now is read Fallout Equestria and do a little more research. However, this blog is meant to answer some questions you all have, so let me answer a few I can assume some of you are asking.
