GOB's Fallout Equestria: Blackjack and Hookers · 6:55pm Nov 11th, 2015
After getting pretty far in Fallout 3's process, I feel like I know just enough to write my own Fallout Equestria with my own character, and my own plot. All I have to do now is read Fallout Equestria and do a little more research. However, this blog is meant to answer some questions you all have, so let me answer a few I can assume some of you are asking.
Will it stick to the same source material?: Yes and no. See, I do have plans on making references and whatnot to the original FE fic, but like I said, it'll star my own character in a completely different plot.
What'll it be about?: Here's where my touch comes in. See, I can already tell Fallout Equestria will be more... Serious and toned down, but I could be wrong. In my fic however, it'll have it's serious moments, but there will be lighthearted goodness in there as well. I like to picture it as a spoof of the original story, but not technically a spoof. If that makes sense.
Who is my character? What will said character do?: Good question. See, I plan on molding this OC to be like how I like to think my characters act. Yes, I said characters as in there was more than just one. See, I plan on having my OC for the fic be greedy in a sense. Like, willing to nuke a town greedy. I also have plans on he or she being a wise cracking showoff. Kinda sorta like Trixie in a sense. But, that won't mean I won't have the character be likable. I'll be giving him a soft spot for certain things like animals and children. I'll also throw in some serious moments that I, myself have encountered during my play through of Fallout 3.
What will the story's genre be?: Like I mentioned before, I have plans for this fic to be a more comedic yet slightly serious fic. So a comedy tab will be added. Also, in true GOB tradition, it'll have romantic fluff thrown in as well, but I don't want to spoil the surprise. Finally, it'll have the other tabs you'd think would be in a Fallout fic like Drama, Gore, Adventure, etc.
So, with that said, do I have any questions about my fic? Yes, it is confirmed, I will make Fallout Equestria: Blackjack and Hookers.

Good to see you willing to give the the sub-fandom a chance (I say sub-fandom in the sense that it's a fandom within a fandom). And it doesn't need to be a very serious story. Of course, given the subject matter, there needs to be a some aspect of a serious tone, but really it can be lighthearted, though it's not what most people expect from the Wasteland. Until next time,
