For those who have noticed my absence, I will explain myself to you and will answer any questions about the OCA contest as of where it stands and what not.
To start off, the contest is still going on. Part two will be posted eventually. However, I've been meaning to tell you guys this for a while since my audience plays a huge role in my career as a writer.
Recently, I've been feeling more depressed and tired. I'm never really creatively energized anymore and whenever I am, I choose to spend it working on projects that I know make me happy. Projects that aren't requests, sequels to fan fictions, or anything like that. They're my own stories and whenever I write them, I get a sense of creative freedom that trumps any creative freedom I felt when writing for a contest or fan fiction.
Basically what I'm saying is I've been working very hard recently balancing this and my personal life that it's gotten to a point where I need a break. I need a vacation from work in general. I want to make myself happy and while all I want is to make you guys happy, it's ten times harder to make others happy when you yourself are feeling depressed.
So, for now until.... Sometime in the near future, I'll be taking a break. I won't be online as much and you probably won't hear from me but when I come back, part two is at the top of my list to complete. I guarantee it.
Take your time and don't push too hard. Ain't nobody leaving.
Take a break man, we all understand.
Take as much time as you need! And if you're feeling freedom writing your own works, absolutely go for it. There's nothing better than original work.
