The Diary Of An Evil Pony by TheBrianJ
Oneshotober has become a rather contentious event. It has a reputation, perhaps deserved, for producing unoriginal, poorly-thought-out, hastily-written, and generally unedited fics. But how do they actually stack up?
Because I’m either an idiot or a masochist, I’m going to review them. All of them. Right here.
And here we are again, once more asking the eternal question: is Oneshotober nothing but a generator of mass shitfic? Or does the event hold merit?
Am I an idiot for trying to review so many fics?
The only way to know is to press on.
All caught up on adding reviews to the big master review list. As of writing this, only seven more reviews to go until hitting nine thousand reviews. Also, lots of ponyfic reviews on the main blog to point you at. Getting back into the swing of posting every single day and that means waiting a while builds up a lot of posts. Both now and I've got a good amount of posts scheduled for the rest of the week because I'll be heading out on my roadtrip to worldcon in just a couple of days and wanted
It's three days until Trotcon, and my stress level seems to be relaxing. Helps that I actually took a walk today and got some shit done. :B On that note, obligatory reminder that I am selling things. I added those video games in I mentioned previously. Now's your chance to buy 'em!
The Freeport Venture by Chengar Qordath is a first for these reviews: a versus post for the sequel to a story that was itself given only a regular review. But while A Moment in the Sun may have started things off in regards to this particular AU, Freeport Venture is the story whose name appears in all the subsequent titles. That's my reasoning.
Okay, so getting back to reviewing things, for good or for ill. Now, Brady Bunch noticed a trend of mine not too long ago. I review good fic, then badfic, then good fic and so forth. Now, here I am reviewing a fic with over 1,000 likes. Am I subverting my trend? Simply put... No. More after the break.

Well, I added in a bit of one of the reviews yesterday so if you absolutely need the full review for Iron Hearts 4, it is now up. It's where I call Pinkie Pie the most evil of the mane six. Which I reference in the book 5 review so now I don't look nearly as forgetful now.

It's been a while, but the third chapter of Scribbler's epic radio play, No Place Like Home, is out!
Minifics today. :) I realized that not only should I not lean on them as filler posts, I should also make an effort to do them once a month, as regularly as possible, or I'll never finish them. <.< Also, I read this month's Flash Fiction Online finally and wasn't really impressed with anything, so these are all you get.
It’s funny how I sort of assumed my review of Bubbles would be one of those that everyone called me out on for being 1000% wrong, but it seems to have garnered nothing but praise for the story. And there’s no higher praise than another reading, this one by Illya Leonov!
Been a while since I did this! And by "this", I both mean "reviewed minifics" and "updated on a three-day schedule".
Also, hey! No weird code parsing this time, how nice! :D Anyway, minifics while I cook up something considerably more expansive.

Okay after that last piece of... well, whatever you can call it I reviewed, you'd naturally expect me to review something good right? You'd be correct on that, actually. More after the break.
Okay, been a bit since I reviewed a fic, -And I blame a lot of that due to schoolwork and househunting- so I suppose I should get back in the game again eh? Me, reviewing fics for your possible amusement. So, what's on today's chopping block agenda? More after the break.
Skeeter the Lurker created a contest recently, the premise of which is "take an episode, keep the moral, switch out the main character(s)". It wrapped up earlier this week, and I've taken some time to read the seven entries, because seven entries. :V Of course, I also haven't posted recently, so have some news before I get to the reviews:
