I’ve heard good things about this one, and this story deserves the praise. The writing is quite good, this story showing a real flair for language that shows through the whole thing. The story is a bit abstract and/or philosophical. Pretty sure I missed a lot of the nuances in it. Despite that there was still a lot to enjoy. The part of this story showing Rarity’s relationship with her sister, a small glimpse really, did better with that subject than a lot of the fanfics where it is the main focus of the entire piece. This is one I would recommend to a non-pony fan. It really doesn’t have a lot of pony in it, but manages to capture Rarity so well that it doesn’t really matter.

If this wasn’t a Fallout: Equestria story I might have liked it better. The author has a bit of a talent for flowery language and I enjoy that from time to time. However, it is a FO:E story and I couldn’t stand it. The author seems to completely miss so much of the theme and feel of FO:E. Not to mention actually starting off with a continuity error (probably more than one). Littlepip isn’t a Pipbuck technician, she’s just an apprentice at the start of the main story. I only got two chapters into this before giving up and tossing it to the side in frustration. I wouldn’t recommend this, but I might see if the author has other less derivative stories to try.

I really, really hope this is a parody fanfic. Sadly, I don’t think it is. Given it isn’t over the top enough and the number at the end of the author’s name (which I’ve noticed tends to correlate with somewhat poor writing), I have a horrible suspicion that this is just fairly poor writing.

I almost didn’t finish this. The first two chapters are not very well written. Kind of glad I stuck with it. The writing gets better (though never reaches excellent). However, there are a few good worldbuilding bits I enjoyed and the characters were portrayed quite well. I had two major complains. First, this story takes place years after the show. They all talk about things that indicate maybe a decade or more has gone by, yet the story feels like it takes place during the show. None of the mane six have any feeling of maturity or experience beyond what we see in the show. Whether you think they are early teens, late teens, or early twenties in the show, the ten years after that are a fairly big impact on a person’s life. The second complaint is that a lot of this story just felt too modern. There was a good amount of pony theme and content, but also a lot of real world stuff, and the two were not blended together very well

Sweet, and a bit sad. Not really a story itself. Just a moment where Princess Luna reads a letter from one of her subjects. I liked it
