As per the usual, I SHOULD be working on something halfway productive (theoretically, I'll wrap up Five Friendly Venoms by the end of the month, but I make no promises). But! I stumbled across A THING.
So RadioLab put out a fantastic episode of their podcast the other day all about K-Pop stars. These are girls that from a young age are put under a contract and trained night and day to become teen pop sensations. They put in long hours, go through diets, dance routines and the gamut of all kinds of beautification techniques. But part of their contract is that they do not date or get married or have any romantic relations at all.
So I was going to write a 'regular' pony story. You know, something centered on some of the Mane 6 (Rarity, Applejack, & Twilight, most specifically) dealing with a strange problem and a bizzare creature and what have you. I even wrote up an outline in a notebook back when I was goofing around in the woods awhile back.
Aaaaaand I sat down to write it out, and ... it wasn't quite clicking. That, and I was gonna toss Zecora in, and I wasn't quite up for writing some garbled rhymes.

Sooooo, one of my resolutions this year was to work on more original fiction, and less fanfiction.
And a little over two weeks in, we can see how THAT went! Womp womp.
No, not that one fanfic I wrote. (Though it does feature the first mention of Gnollpoleon! Running gags, people!)
Y'see, by "Get Down on Friday" I apparently mean "Go on a 3,000 word writing bender and finish that silly mystery story that all of like two dozen people will actually read."
...And I'm both annoyed and tired.

So, To those of you aware Flash has been feature a lot lately(his own Short, the two dolls and a few other things) and aright before the rid movie which could lead alot to assume that he'd be pretty important in Friendship Games, right?
AHAHAHAHAHAHA. No. Not even remotely the case.

When I'm in the mood, I love writing. And I'll be the first to admit that while it's certainly no catastrophe, a LOT of people out there are better with spelling and grammar.
You know what sucks about running an ask blog?
You can't really do much until someone asks you stuff...
Y'know, I probably should have waited 'til sometime other than a Friday night (much less that of Friday the 13th) to finish a story, but eh. What can you do?
(That, and I had some time to kill before I go to watch an actual Friday the 13th movie, because hockey-mask zombies murderizing teenagers is surprisingly entertaining).
So, Flash Sentry (the human one) has been exposed to raw, uncontrolled magical energies a lot. And the side effects are showing up... As increased strength, speed, agility and endurance, and maybe heat vision. To the point he's breaking doors when he opens them and crushing his fork when he picks it up. So he's going to need training with the rest of the Main 7 to master these abilities!

So, as many of you know, I run and ask blog for Vinyl and Flash (which can be found here if you are interested). Recently, and by that I mean a few months back, I began work on a story which features flash having been promoted to captain and being one of four guards for Twilight.
Now, here comes my question(s):
1. Would this kind of story be allowed on Fimfiction?
2. If it is, would you like me to upload it here?
So, as it turns out, Twilight Sparkle isn't quite the innocent mare she seems to be. Back in Canterlot, she did have a coltfriend and a marefriend! Flash Sentry and Moondancer. That said, it really was little more than an arrangement of "sexual release partners", friends with benefits at best. Twilight kind of forgot about them after she went to Ponyville, but Flash and Moondancer both had some issues after she left.
Wow! I haven't posted anything here since last year! Well, I apologize for that! But don't you worry! I'm working on TWO stories for you guys! One about Flash Sentry (yes I'm a Flash Sentry fan. Let's all move on) and a story focusing on how Mr and Mrs Cake met! Lots of fun stuff on its way!
Fanfic is weird.
So, awhile back, GrandCat started translating The Flash Sentry Papers into Russian. The existence of A) Russian Bronies and B) Russian Bronies that would want to read my fic is something new to me.
But wait, there's more!
As not only has my work been translated, it's now been audiobook'd. Or, uh, Youtube reader'd. Just ... in Russian.
My Desktop is almost manageable by this point. Aside from this fic, there’s one last one that’s sitting at the top of my bin that I’m still hesitant to toss away. Well, there is another, another one but that’s not even close to a story, just a few loose sentences and dialogue sheets stapled together with gummy bears and silly string.
