While he dreams heavenly pink dreams, the young man doesn't believe anything so fantastical and happy could be realized. That's why he's crying in his sleep. Despite how delightful the dream is, a piece of Flash is convinced that it will forever remain in the realm of make-believe."
Felicitous Dreams by the insanely talented Lucy-Tan may very well be the most gorgeous picture I've ever commissioned. It took them over thirty days of nightly pain-staking work to create this piece. Far more worth the value than what I gave them for it, imho. And yet they tackled it with great humility and professionalism and--from the looks of it--much much creative lurve.
And there's so dayum much going on in this piece. From the details of the outfits to the finely-crafted details of the room(s) to the hint of reflections in the mirror to the little "hearts" on the silverware to the luscious hair-stylings. It's a masterpiece that just keeps on sharing the more you look at it.
I'm sorely-tempted to try making a fanfic that's somehow worthy of accompanying a pic like this. In the meantime, please admire Lucy-Tan's amazing craftmanship, and go check out their other stuff and comment adoringly.

Very nice artwork. I don't claim to know anything about makeup, but does anyone else think Flash is overdoing it a little -particularly around the eyes?

Wanting to feel attractive and wanting acceptance for being the way you are are two pretty common parts of the human experience.
Also Twilight's dress is gorgeous, I love the various flower sections. Rarity approved.
