    Yet another blog post.

    ......Stuff.

Yeah, you've no doubt noticed the lack of stories despite my promises. *sigh* I'm sorry, I kinda got distracted with other things. With school in the way, it's hard to write, on top of a severe case of Writer's Block. There's a bright side to this, however: With things unwritten, changing them is a breeze. Here's a full list of new plans, updated and fresh from my mind:

Update: OC completed, Story plans, etc.

......Yeah, still haven't written anything yet. *headdesk*

On the bright side, not yet writing everything has given me time to think. I've decided to either change where I put some scenes or otherwise abandon certain ideas. I've also managed to explode my "Daww-Meter" from visualizing a specific scene from one of these. (and I just had it fixed from "The Lost Treasure of Griffonstone"!)

    Candle Logics.

This is completely unrelated to my previous blogs, but this is something I absolutely CANNOT go without saying. I just watched Digibro's video on the Mane Six's ages with Cutie Mark Chronicles, and checked out the comments. A good deal of people are saying Rainbow is 21 because of the number of candles on her cake, and nopony's making a good enough counterargument. For those curious, here is the

Before beginning, please listen to this piece of music as you read, or an otherwise calming soundtrack you like.

When I'm in the mood, I love writing. And I'll be the first to admit that while it's certainly no catastrophe, a LOT of people out there are better with spelling and grammar.

Story incoming, and general stuff about me.

Anybody who has optical receptors of the functioning variety can tell that I.....don't really have any stories quite yet. Well, that's going to change in just a short time. It won't be anything big, mostly just some oneshots centering around characters I like. I'm thinking I'll just start slow here, with simplistic little things to show how I feel on the characters and subjects pertaining to

Before beginning, please listen to this piece of music as you read, or an otherwise calming soundtrack you like.

When I'm in the mood, I love writing. And I'll be the first to admit that while it's certainly no catastrophe, a LOT of people out there are better with spelling and grammar.

As for my current plans, like I said previously, I intend to mostly start out with some oneshots dedicated to the characters I feel get way too much hate for way too little. A LOT of you will disagree with me, but I'm gonna write what I want. You don't see ME running around commenting on every grimdark fic about how stupid, cliche, and annoying it is, do you? I leave this alone, because everyone can write what they want and most of those grimdarks don't concern me. I also have some characters I feel get a bit too much love from the fandom. Notable examples include Discord and Trixie.

Anyway, I want to announce the current working titles and some short summaries I've made. If anyone cares, I would love some feedback. If there's something wrong with my premise, like someone else has already done something similar to them, let me know. I'll check out those ones and reconsider whether or not I want to/will do them. If I feel I can do better, which I personally doubt, I'll go ahead and do them. By that point, it will be up to YOU to decide which one is better. If enough comments/reviews are negative in constructively critical ways, and NOT simply crap like "u sux" or a general comment that has nothing in it but negativity without trying to tell me WHY what I did made it lesser, then I will remove the story, or perhaps rewrite it with some new knowledge at my disposal. But anyway, here are the titles and summaries:

#1: Celestial Serenity
Summary: Celestia has been hearing rumors and gossip lately, concerning a so-called "dark side" of herself. After considering them, and looking over her past interactions with the bearers of the Elements of Harmony, she decides to put to rest their unjust fears once and for all, and calls Twilight Sparkle to Canterlot to remind her of why she has come as far as she has.
Motivation: I've decided I'm sick of "Tyrantlestia" and "Molestia". A lot of people seem to purposefully ignore or pervert her canonical characterization for some stupid reason, and it's gotten on my nerves. Rest assured, I don't mean to make this a hatefic or something of the sort, but I think these people seriously need reminded of why Celestia is so great.

#2: Slice of Life (name not final)
Summary: (Not finished, needs work)
Premise/motivation: I warned you I make OCs. While I haven't quite thought up the design or name yet, I do know where I want to go with the character. A lot of people seem to have issues with Self-Inserts, be they the one writing them or the one reading them. The ones who write them don't often finish their original story, or the character takes the spotlight, or ends up in a romance with one of the Mane Six. Where I want to go, however, is with a character who, rather than be the complete and total main focus, would just show up, have the spotlight for a short time, and then basically be a secondary character. One who usually just happens to be around at times and maybe every so often get involved in whatever crazy event has the Mane Six preoccupied. The character's age and personality has been decided; Due to my personal theory, the Mane Six are teenagers, and my OC is 15, which is also my current real life age. Personality is based off myself.

Also, CALM THYSELF! my character will NOT be a Gary Stu or a personality void. In fact, he'll be quite the opposite. Being based upon me in all my likeness, including not just my virtues, but also my faults. Clumsiness and social awkwardness name merely two of the many personality traits I have. Seriously, if I wasn't typing behind a computer screen right now, I'd be trying to make myself unknown and failing miserably at it from tripping over things and smashing my limbs against wall obstacles like doorknobs. Or actual doors themselves. This will be reflected in one of the first freaking scenes I write for this fic.

#3: Rainbow Dash and *OC name* in: The Mansion
Summary: After a mysterious mansion appears somewhere in the Everfree Forest, Twilight Sparkle decides to investigate. But after two nights, her worrying lack of a return prompts Rainbow Dash and *OC* to investigate as well.
Motivation: A lack of Best Pony love from both fanon and canon writers alike. I decided I wanted to give Rainbow some really cute and touching moments with my character, since she's my favorite of the Mane Six. One chapter, which I've labelled "Why they call her Loyalty" will contain the most moments between my character and Dashie herself. Whether the relationship ends up platonic or romantic is honestly up to you. I myself just want it to be Friendshipping, but you're allowed to interpret it either way. I've mostly been inspired by the people who CONSTANTLY berate Rainbow Dash for not always being the loyalest friend in all situations, and their nitpicking is ridiculous.

#4: Deleted Scenes: Why doesn't anypony like him?
Summary: According to TVTropes, a scene in the recent episode "Slice of Life" was cut. Well, technically, there were multiple ones, but this one just doesn't deserve to. I don't know anything about it besides that Flash Sentry was going to ask why everybody hates him despite the fact that he's literally never done anything wrong.
To any comments about him being Twilight's love interest being an excuse:

Motivation: Literally ALL Flash needs is a personality. His literal only flaw is that lacks a personality, besides being a nice guy. Yet people foam at the mouth simply because he's a canonical- apparently actually non-canon, as later confirmed- love interest for a Mane Character. If THIS is how people react to canon love interests that aren't predefined from the start, I'd hate to see Rainbow played straight in the actual show. Seriously, this guy's massive hatebase is largely undeserved. I say "largely" because as I said before, his literal ONLY problem is his lack of personality. You people REALLY need to calm down about your damn ships. This is ridiculous.

And that's it! ...For the moment, at least. The first to be written and released will be Celestial Serenity and Flash's deleted scene, since they're only oneshots when the other two will be a bit longer.

The Celestia and Rainbow stories sound interesting, so I'll probably give them a read once you put them up.

Not a big fan of Tyrantlestia either, but at least the fans are giving her some character. I personally prefer the comic version of her to the show's version, because she's been given far more development in the comics, especially under Katie Cook and Andy Price. The show itself just doesn't seem to know what to do with her anymore. We hardly see her and when we do she's normally written as a one dimensional character, with the hundredth episode and that Discord one being the rare exceptions. I'd like to see more of this Celestia, one who's a little more laid back when not dealing with royal duties.

As for Flash.. well, sorry if this offends but I see him as just a forced plot device.

3180333 I understand. That's honestly just it though: Flash didn't really get used the way he could've. He could've been written out and the story would remain just about the same. The problem with Flash mostly seems to stem from his general lack of personality. At this point, he has a background, but that's not really a "personality".

But at least he isn't a forced, bullcrap homosexual option. Maybe I'm just clinging to the one straight romance we have with canon backing, but really. He just needs a proper character, and for some people to be less ridiculous about their own ships. Honestly, I can't be the only one who thinks that Friendship is Magic's homosexual ships REALLY need sunk at this point. (For the record, I do not hate homosexuals or homo romance in general, it's just that there's WAY too much of it in fanfiction)

Sorry, ships are kind of touchy with me. Moving on, I don't really know much about the comics. As it is, it doesn't really seem like they're canon to the show, but maybe I'm just not quite informed enough of them. I don't really pay attention to comics or manga all that much.

Concerning Celestia... Well, we also have some other episodes besides those two to see Celestia as more than just a royal. In a Bird in the Hoof, she messes with cakes as they get a bit ridiculous over her presence, The Best Night Ever where she wanted the Mane Six to mess up the Grand Galloping Gala because of how boring it is, and I recall some other moments. Really, making her a tyrant or molester really destroy her character either way. Even if we can't always see it, at least we can count on canon Celestia to be a heroic figure, if nothing else. Really, I'll take a Purity Sue hero over a cheap, idiotic comedy character any day.

Like I said before, my goal is mostly to give more underloved characters some love they deserve. Flash Sentry is one of those characters. He wasn't done well at all in his debut, and his second appearance really wasn't much better. I will make a character out of Flash Sentry, or I will die trying!

While I'm a fan of certain ships I also realize they're not for everyone. Still, I don't think they should be sunk. >.> Different opinions and all that.

And fair enough. Yeah, they don't always stick to show canon but the writers have still come up with some pretty good story arcs, and I say go for it if you ever feel like reading a few issues. You may end up liking them. Who knows? The choice is yours though. And Celestia's playful side is, in my opinion, one of the things that keeps her interesting. I like her when she's more down to earth and not afraid to mix business with pleasure. Where she can still be serious when she needs to be, but is a little more laid back when no one needs her right away. Yes, she's a princess and yes, she has duties but I don't think even Faust intended for her to be some infallible, perfect being that was all business twenty four-seven.

That aside, I'm still interested in seeing what you do with her in your story.

3182430 Okay, maybe that was a bit harsh of me, but really. There's so much TwiDash shipping out there it's hard to find any good stories where the two don't end up in a relationship with each other. And people have genuinely gotten to the point where any close interaction means they MUST be screwing each other in bed.

I'll see if I can read them online. I might like them. I've heard some things about them, mostly from TheMysteriousMrEnter on YouTube. Apparently they... lassoed the moon and.....walked right to it......through the void of.....space....?

...Moving on. I hope I don't disappoint you.
