If you've been following my blogs, you might recall a particular idea I had for a potential If You Give a Little Love prequel. Well, now that summer has come and I have more time to write in general, I think I'll at least get started on it. I'm not really sure if there's any demand for it, but I've been wanting to explore Babs' parents' story in depth for a while now, so I hope you all give it a
So first of all. Thank you for sticking with me through this rotten horrible last year.
I'd like to thank you all for helping us pay that horrid tax bill! I don't know what we would have done so thank you!
With that out of the way comes the more... personal stuff. Medical to be exact. If you want to hear what's going on with me continue below. If not well here's an adorable picture of Dash and Scoots
Hey, I've been basically silent lately. How about I do one of these status blogs?
Let's see, personal status... constant anxiety, bouts of depression, the occasional foray into existential despair, and, every so often, self-destructive urges which range from "killing myself would certainly eliminate much of my personal stress" to "I wonder if I could just like drink this bowl of gravy."
Is this a "State of the Author" blog? I think it might count as one.
Why is this called Chaos Edition? Because that's what my life has been like lately, to say the least.
Oh hey it's a blog post from that guy who doesn't blog post all that often. And not only is it a blog post, it's also apparently my 200th blog post. That's pretty neat. Too bad I don't have anything interesting to celebrate it... as if 200 blarghs into the void was a thing to celebrate or something.
Jesus, has it really been four months since my last post on this thing? Too long, I say! Far too long. To that end, let us dispense with 2016 and all its maleficence and discuss things going on in the new year.
Huh, I guess I haven't really blogged anything meaningful this year apart from a notification I'd be on the Barcast in February. Time to change that.
The Imperfect Storm draft took me longer than expected, but eventually, the global pandemic made me realize I had to get it done sooner or later. And so, I'm back on FiMFiction (for a limited time, at least, more about that in a bit), and ready to update my stories!
Living: Most likely, unless you believe ghosts can press keys.
Chance of writing: High! For the most part.
Chance of publishing something readable by the end of the month: Slim. But plausible.
Chance of writing that Halloween fic? ... Oops. A bit late, aren't I? Well. Anything's possible!
Word count of The Mare Who Went Into the Cold reboot: 1405, ignoring previous chapters and separate chapter for outline. Will be writing more.
'Cuz I do, and it's not...that bad...I guess?

I don't know what time this is gonna go live: I'm about 45 minutes away from heading out to work, and I theoretically get done at 11 pm and it's theoretically a forty minute drive home . . . .
Of course, given that I'm coming to you from the internet, practically no matter what time I post this, some of y'all are going to have already celebrated the new year, and some of you won't have.
So Happy New Year's, everypony!
Had that damned infected tooth filled for the last time last week. Been going well so far, and I'm feeling much better already. Cost me a pretty penny from my savings, but worth it, just to be able to THINK again.
If the news had not been previously broken, I regained gainful employment about two months ago. Thus, if you don't see any story updates for a while, now you know why.
Okay, so Valentine's Day has come and gone, and if any of you remember how much I dislike the holiday and why, you can be sure I'm quite pleased with that fact.
Anyways, writing. Now, two important factoids:
One, I Walk the (Firing) Line will be taken off hiatus, as I do have a chapter in the works for it, and it's over 75% done really. Be my longest piece for the story yet, might just break 6,000 words.
It's August! And I'm secretly working on a secret project which I can't tell you about because it's a secret.
I also can't find a good, topical opening image.
