Hey, I've been basically silent lately. How about I do one of these status blogs?
Let's see, personal status... constant anxiety, bouts of depression, the occasional foray into existential despair, and, every so often, self-destructive urges which range from "killing myself would certainly eliminate much of my personal stress" to "I wonder if I could just like drink this bowl of gravy."
But the first one is not a valid solution to my problems as my problems resolve around a shortage of income, and so long as I provide a net gain to the household, removing myself from matters only makes it worse for others, and I'm not that selfish.
The second one I only did a little bit.
Which pretty much leaves me with trying to address the income problem. I could get a second job, but I'd basically have to better than double my income to make that worthwhile, or else daytime child care would make it a net loss. Which leaves me with the stay-at-home options. There's a tutoring service my wife used to work for that would bring in about $100-200 a month, but I've never been very comfortable with that since I don't have much of an education background. I tried Patreon once before, and though some authors on here have made it a source of income, I closed the account after sitting at no activity for two months. Then there's commissioned or freelance editing and writing.
Anyone have any knowledge about or experience with freelance stuff or the rest of those ideas?
Aw, that sucks. I don't have any advice, unfortunately. Patreoning is good if you can do it, but I think it's tough without a solid fanbase.
This gives me hope that, whatever you decide to do, it will be the right choice.
