Over the week I've been wondering about the villains and dangerous objects in MLP. It hit me what most had in common. Dark Magic.

Of the two parter villains only all but one are tied to dark magic. That expectation is Discord as we all know.

It's been shown dark magic feeds off of negative emotions or can use it to power itself. It also can twist a user's personality as well. It also seems unnatural to the world itself.

Each villain is tied to a manifestation of dark magic.

I never imagined it would go this far when I first stated, to the point of it being 64 chapters long (it was originally 12), 149,634 words with over 16,000 views! Not to mention a sequel which is doing pretty well in itself.
