Oh my god I can’t believe I forgot to mention this at least once because I think it’s really funny 😭 for context the reformed changelings don’t happen in my universe they stay their lovely creepy bug-like selves because I like that idea better than just changing their whole personalities/appearances in an instant

IN CHANGELINGS
I’m considering having the gods that changelings worship be pronounced using insect-like sounds (their ancient language before they evolved to be capable of proper spoken language) and as a result many of them are unable to properly pronounce them, instead using terms like “the God of War” as opposed to attempting to pronounce their actual names seeing as it’s too difficult without a lot of practice 🤔
Don't worry I'm currently working on chapter 2 (which will be kind of a doozy btw) 
and as I was relooking at chapter 1 I decided to change some continuity stuff and wanted to add in the fact that there are other species in changeling countries (considered the indigenous creatures of the land, most often being dragons and ky lan) which are unfortunately looked upon by the majority of the population at the time this story is set, meaning that way of thinking only changes much
