Pharynx cursed. “Shit, I forgot the stallion’s name.” He turned to the group of Changelings, slightly panicked. “Does anyone know it?”
“Nope.”
“Sorry.”
“Er…”
“Hm?”
Thorax's head peeked out behind the others. “He has two hamsters named ‘Fat Nuggies’ and ‘Lil’ Fry.’”
Pharynx frowned. “That…wasn’t what I asked…?”
His brother shrugged. “That’s all I information I know.”
*To Ember* “You look well.”
“Y-You too.”
*Puts down the chocolate bar he was eating* “Okay, enough, I can’t watch this anymore. Thorax, would you like to take Ember on a date this weekend?”
“I-I, uh…”
“Simple question, yes or no?”
“Y-Yes, yes I would.”
“Ember, would you like to go?”
So, as of late I’ve been watching The Regular Show (wow, an MLP fan watching TRS, I wonder why that would ever happen), and as I write for Pharynx now - a character who’s rather iffy to write for, as he’s only had one episode of speaking, with fleeting and silent cameos in the finale and The Best Gift Ever aside - I find it a little easier than before.
Kydra, Blue, Dagger, and Mantis stood together while Pharynx, Hive, and Stinger stood a few feet off.
“So, what are we doing again?” Kydra asked.
“Simple. We wanna see which couple can make out the best,” Stinger said.
“Wait, why us?” Mantis asked
Hive shrugged. “Well, Tempest, Ember, and Rose aren’t here, and Zenex and Flutterwings are underaged, so that’d be awkward to watch.”
"Uncle Pharynx, Uncle Pharynx!"
"Grub, go away, I'm trying to nap..."
"Bu' you go'a do something!"
"About what...?"
"Um... well..."
"Either get to the point or let me go back to sleep."
"Uh, i's jus' you pro'ably won' 'lieve me."
"...Is the Hive in danger?"
"No."
"A-Are you sure this is a good idea Phar?" Thorax asked as they walked through the connecting bathroom that divided their and Apex's room with Ocellus'.
"Positive. I'm sure she has a diary, we just need to get to it." Pharynx pulled out a marker and glanced up at the sign situated on the door that led to Ocellus' room of the spy mansion.
No Boys Allowed
*Pharynx, Ember, Novo, and Gilda are talking together in a room of the Hive*
*Bursts in* "Guys, Apex is missing!"
"...And?"
*Everyone turns to look at her*
"What? Dragon kids run off all the time! Parents only start to worry if they're gone for more than a day!"
"Ember, come on! Apex!" *runs off*
"...Ember, your entire species make terrible parents."
“Alright, that’s it! Enough! I’ve had it, I’m done! Mhm, you heard me! No more!”
“What are you talking about?”
“Look, I’m a writer, okay? I do so much stuff with my other content! And yet, the Rap Battles are more popular than my own stories! I can’t do it anymore!”
“Giving up so soon? There’s so many-”
Thorax: “Of all the days to be late...I really should have asked the Ancestors for luck.”
Pharynx: “How lucky can they be? They’re dead.”
..for months. Almost a year, really, and I’m not any closer to finishing.
Usually (well, it’s one of the few stories in my drafts that aren’t one-shots, but the gist of it is understandable), I’d write the story and then submit it, but because of how long it's been in my drafts for, and the fact that I ended up hinting to it in This Is What It's Like with the initial intention not to, and that the fics would be two separate things, but I guess things changed.
Just tagging folks who followed the original.

“Griiiiiiff! Griff, Griff, Griff, Griff, Griff!” Venom exclaimed repeatedly as he barged into the room.
“Yes, brother?” Griff replied, focused on his television.
“Okay, so uh, long story short, me and the rest of the gang were out sledding when we came across a changeling lying in the snow, so we brought it back to the hive, and then—”
“Is it dead?”
*Gives Ocellus a beer*
“Congratulations on surviving the Legion of Doom, and being a kickass in general.”
”Griffy, no! She’s sixteen!”
“Oh right!”
*Gives Ocellus two beers*
“You’re a growing girl.”
“Griffy, no!”
“So, I was going through your phone while drunk last night-”
“Wai’ wha’?”
More Starlight and Trixie shenanigans? Learning more about the new Changeling culture? Red and black character?! There's no part of that I don't like!
“Walking down the hallway, totally inconspicuously…”
“WHO BUILT THIS SHRINE TO ME IN THE HALLWAY?!”
“Walking faster!”
“Nothing’s going to change, okay Bell?”
*Kisses his cheek* “Mhm.”
“We’re still going to pretend we absolutely hate each other.”
*Nips his chest fluff* “Yep.”
“Okay guys, you know why you’re all here?”
“Uh... You called us here.”
“True. But, that’s not why I called you here.” *Walks over to a board* “We have a new target. Him!”
*Tilts heads in confusion*
“Uh... The U.S. pentagon?”
*Looks over* “Oh s**t. Wrong one...” *Scrambles on the board* “This guy!”
“Ohh!”
“That Pentagon.”
“Yes Sting, that Pentagon.”
