I just wanna ask a question: Has there ever been any episodes where Applejack says "anything"[sic] and not "anythin'"? Just wondering, that is all.

So as many of you all know, when I first joined this community, I was mostly in it for the grimdark aspects of the brony fandom, like Cupcakes, Rainbow Factory, Little Miss Rarity, Scissor Twilight, etc... This resulted in me writing various stories of a creepy nature.

Of these stories the two most popular are Abandoned by Pinkie (based off of the Abandoned by Disney creepypasta) and the Apple left Behind. This last one was part of a trade for artwork from one of my friends.

Why I didn't like The Saddle Row Review that much? I think it comes down to expectations. And I'm not talking about the preexisting sort, either. I mean that the whole first act of this episode is the characters freaking out about how terrible everything was, how much they fucked it up, how bad Rarity's ideas were. I've had another dream about My Little Pony last night. This time Applejack tries to complete an obstacle course that Twilight designed in record time, but some of the obstacles have to be beat by lateral thinking rather than physical dexterity. Not only that but one obstacle looks like it was designed by Fluttershy and two seem to be the kinds Rainbow Dash would come up with.

Something of an update.

Have been fascinated by dryads lately. They are mythological, interesting, theme appropriate, and so far not present in MLP.

Naturally my latest stories include them in one way or another :)

Applejack's Little Tree is my first Romance Tragedy attempt. Hopefully have gotten something right.

When I write Applejack's dialogue, I tend to spell her words using standardised spelling instead of "ah's" (I), and "-'in" (-ing). To me, using specific terms (e.g. howdy, partner) with the rest spelled in a standard form is adequate, because the reader should imagine Applejack speaking with her country accent instead of relying on an accent-ised spelling.
