Following the Hearth's Warming Eve pageant, Twilight goes to Canterlot in order to research the historical events of Hearth's Warming Eve. However what she finds leads her on a journey across the sea and into uncharted northern lands. When she returns, she is visibly shaken and refuses to speak of what she saw to anypony. While over time she starts to recover, there are important questions left unanswered. What did she see on her journey and perhaps more importantly, what followed her back?

This fic is about an android from the DCAU whose backstory won't make much sense unless you watch the Justice League episode "Tabula Rasa."

To keep it simple, Lex Luthor manipulates a power-copying android named AMAZO to fight the Justice League and, at the moment where Luthor and AMAZO are about to win, the android duplicates J'onn Jonzz's Martian telepathy and descovered Luthor's treachery.

After a brief skirmish that ended with AMAZO nearly killing Luthor, the android departs to the heavens to duplicate powers beyond those of Earth.

Years after Twilight abandons her idea of publishing a translation of Starswirl's journal, Spike stumbles upon it. After reading about the past, he now believes that his own egg might have been among some of Starswirl's treasures of old. If true, then Spike might have a family somewhere. A family worth searching for.
