The Republic is dead, and from the ashes the evil Galactic Empire has risen, with the malevolent Emperor Palpatine at its throne. Across the galaxy, Lord Darth Vader hunts down the last of the Jedi, aided by the ruthlessy efficient Stormtroopers of the 501st Legion and the Star Destroyers of the dreaded Death Squadron.

The Galactic Empire is growing ever desperate in their war against the Rebel Alliance. While the Battle of Hoth ended in an Imperial victory, the Rebel counter-attack has grown increasingly intense.

Luke Skywalker, a Jedi in training, has left Dagobah in pursuit of his fellow Rebel and close friend, Han Solo. With the Imperial fleet not far behind, Luke has no choice but to jump to lightspeed.

However, while making the jump, his craft collided with a rogue asteroid, knocking it off course. The resulting detour has sent Luke to an unfamiliar star system. Unknown to Luke, however, a new trial manifests itself; a trial that will forever change the face of an entire planet….
