Spike has long since liked Rarity, and when Twilight Sparkle decides to hold a party and she's invited, Spike must decide if he will build up enough guts to tell her how he feels. He is determined to do so, but that has happened before and he's still chickened out.

Twilight Sparkle has received 6 tickets for the Titanic's maiden voyage, and all of her friends are more than excited to go. Leaving a moping Spike behind, Twilight and her friends board the enormous cruise ship, anticipating a luxuriously grand vacation. But, of course, you all know how this ends.

After the Events of "Sweet & Elite" Fancy Pants invites Rarity and the rest of the mane 6 to his manor for a late dinner, while waiting on the meal he tells Rarity and the others how he first meet the lovely Fleur-De-Liz.

Following the events of "Secrets of my Excess" Rarity joins Twilight Sparkle and the Royal Sisters for brunch, hoping to gain advice on dealing with a certain young dragon and the feelings she keeps hidden.

This story explores a dragon's nature somewhat, and spins a narrative of a middle-aged Spike regaling a visitor about the favorite item in his hoard: a statue of his favorite pony. It is a story about Spike, Rarity, reminiscing, letting go, and preserving that which is most precious to us.

Rarity writes a diary entry, puzzling out her thoughts and feelings after being kidnapped by a rampaging dragon.
