See because I'm using the fingers to type this message with, and... oh, skip it.
Point is, I didn't actually realize that this was going to be a thing, but it rather recently became a thing. Roundabouts the area of May 12 to the 14th this year, I'm planning on hauling the mass of intricately-arranged carbon and minerals that is Skywriter up to Seattle to attend EFNW. This may be my one pony con in 2017 because I like to keep some sense of perspective and also there is a non-zero chance I'll be going to South Africa or something later in the year.
Hope to see all you Pacific Northwest ponies while I'm there! At present I have no panels or anything I can tell you to attend, but I suspect I'll be hanging around where writers are hanging around.

Still very tentative yet. But the bucket list has long had "see lemurs in the wild" on it, and maybe this is the year?
Sadly, living in Las Vegas and not leaving it very often makes my chances of visiting a con practically nil. I was thinking about going to the one in Las Vegas later this year... but that one's been cancelled. It seems likely horizon will remain the only fimfiction member I've met IRL...

Believe me, I know.
The funny thing is that I lived in the same area he lives in now when I was growing up, and there was a very real chance at one point that I could've ended up moving back instead of moving to Las Vegas. As it stands, when my mom did move back, she was living not that far from where he lives. (Walking distance, though not short walking distance.)

Well, if you are anywhere that is where *a* writer hangs out. All you need to do is kidnap another one and then with two of you you can make anywhere you like where writers (plural) hang out.
Once again I curse the fact that the writer-centric pony con is on the other side of the continent.
South Africa is not quite on the literal other side of the globe from Seattle, but it's a good effort!

Bronycon is looking dubious at best, if I am conserving vacation time for Africa. We'll see how things shake out and if things change, I'll do another announcement like this one!

You know, when you really think about it, there's nothing in Africa you don't already have access to. Sand? That's what beaches are for! Animals? You live with lots of those. Trees and grass? That's everywhere. A hot sun? Good news! The same sun shines over Africa and your house. Plus, it'll be summer soon!

I punched all the holes on my creepy stalker card two years ago when I just sort of stood uncomfortably around Dr. Wolf for a while, and I have not yet replaced it.
