Cadance of Cloudsdale (so far) now in Spanish!

Thanks to the generous SPANIARD KIWI, the text of Cadance of Cloudsdale so far is now in Spanish! Mr. Kiwi has done a tremendous amount of work translating many of my stories into Spanish, but this goes above and beyond. If you're curious, you may visit the project so far here at this

    Happy Cadance Day 2024!

Things feel a bit subdued today, due to the coincidence of Valentine's Day and Ash Wednesday through a quirk of the liturgical calendar. It is somewhat difficult to juxtapose the splash of corporate-encouraged love with the festival that literally exists to remind us of our mortality. The pink of Valentine's washes against the purple of Lent. So I'm in a pensive mood, more so than usual on this

    Ciderfest is a wrap!

Just got home from PVCF and it was an amazing con experience! The minific-based ARG that circulated around the con the whole weekend was high-concept, and I was worried about engagement, but everyone seemed to really get into searching out the hard-to-find stories concealed around the convention hall (in places as obscure as "the desktop wallpaper on one of the monitors in the video game room,

Happy Cadance Day 2024! · 8:41pm February 14th

So I'm in a pensive mood, more so than usual on this day.

And, goodness knows, none of you need a reminder of Love representation. Its depictions are shoehorned into plot beats by the mass media, omnipresent. It's what turned Breakfast at Tiffany's from a thoughtful character study of a book to a truly distasteful romance, and that was even without Mickey Rooney doing his thing.

So, as ever, do not focus on the love you're being sold. Focus on love. And, as the second great commandment says, love your neighbor as you love yourself. But don't gloss over that last bit. It's as yourself. Not "more than". That you love yourself is taken as axiomatic by the second great commandment, but too often it just isn't.

Love your neighbor. Love yourself. And know that, in the grandest of all grand schemes, these two ideas may be one and the same.

Peace out.

Thanks for this reminder. Agree 100%, but sometimes it's so easy to forget.

Thank you for this. I'm not familiar with Ash Wednesday, but love? Well... Love in its purest form might be the only thing that stands between us and human-wrought darkness. There can be no doubt about that.

Happy holidays.

This is either going to cheer you up or derail your train of thought entirely, so I will apologize in advance, just in case: Glitter Ash :pinkiehappy:

Yeah, that's basically this day!

Cursed everyone being a small part of the giant cyvernetic overmind so all love is self love....
