Cadance of Cloudsdale (so far) now in Spanish!

Thanks to the generous SPANIARD KIWI, the text of Cadance of Cloudsdale so far is now in Spanish! Mr. Kiwi has done a tremendous amount of work translating many of my stories into Spanish, but this goes above and beyond. If you're curious, you may visit the project so far here at this

    Happy Cadance Day 2024!

Things feel a bit subdued today, due to the coincidence of Valentine's Day and Ash Wednesday through a quirk of the liturgical calendar. It is somewhat difficult to juxtapose the splash of corporate-encouraged love with the festival that literally exists to remind us of our mortality. The pink of Valentine's washes against the purple of Lent. So I'm in a pensive mood, more so than usual on this

    Ciderfest is a wrap!

Just got home from PVCF and it was an amazing con experience! The minific-based ARG that circulated around the con the whole weekend was high-concept, and I was worried about engagement, but everyone seemed to really get into searching out the hard-to-find stories concealed around the convention hall (in places as obscure as "the desktop wallpaper on one of the monitors in the video game room,

Ice Star's fam needs a helping hoof · 12:43am January 9th

Ice Star, whom I just now learned is a fellow Wisconsinite and probably less than thirty minutes' drive away from me at this very moment, has been on my radar for quite some time. Pinkest Princess is all too often the butt end of a joke at best, or the target of wholly out-of-character infidelity clop at worst. She lags behind the other alicorns in popularity, so it is always refreshing for me to see people taking her seriously. Ice Star is one of those people. So that's two tribes we share. I don't normally do the signal boost thing, partially because I try to keep the fiction/nonfiction ratio high on this account, but since I just completed a story, maybe that gives me some wiggle room. Check out the campaign above and see what you think.

Stay hopeful and stay pony.

From the bottom of my heart, thank you. I popped in to see if anyone commented on the blog and found that a few people have boosted it. Those few people -- yourself included -- mean the world to me for helping the love of my life (and his family).

I hate to burst your bubble but I'm actually not. GFM asks that you use the zip code in which the money will be withdrawn. I am actually a native of Pennsylvania and live relatively close to Bad Horse (I reference him because he admits to the town he resides in publicly and in his book). My boyfriend and I are long distance because I'm broke as all fuck and his situation is what it is -- moving in together when I go to grad school will be the remedy to that. But that's all beside the point.

Thank you ever so much. You're one of my favorite writers on the site, and have been since I was a kid, and a really darn charitable person too.

("What do you mean 'since you were a kid'?" you might be wondering. I'm 24. Which means I started posting here when I was 15. Enjoy that tidbit of knowledge.)

Re: your location... good to know! Ultimately it probably wouldn't have mattered anyway, because introvert, yay! I hope things go well for your S.O.

Wait I think that means you read Wayward Sun when you were underaged, boy we needta talk.

He is too! But yeah, basically that's where he is, not me! I'm slowly getting him into ponies, though. Ever so slowly.

Correct. I read it when I was seventeen because I was utterly ecstatic to do so. You know who to blame for sending me there. If you really want to break down the details: I didn't start writing anything NSFW until I was 18+ but before then, I could sometimes be found commenting on stories that were just rated "mature" with no other tags or were tagged with something like "mature - gore" with the exception being trollfics of any rating. I will 100% read garbage of any rating at any age. I read Winged Hussars while I was still a minor and a few of Shortskirts M-rated horror stories at the recommendation of the same person who had me read Wayward Sun. I can't think of any others at the moment. It could be a product of the themes that interest me, the fact that this was the first fanfic I ever read, or that I was allowed to watch movies like Saving Private Ryan in high school and a lot of grisly true crime-related content much, much earlier (we're talking before I was 10). A lot of the non-pony reading I did around that age -- and before -- were similarly intense to Wayward Sun.

I don't think it even was M at the time, got socked with that rating after being done.
