So it seems I haven't done any blog posts since back when I wrote La Cama Izzy, shortly after Everfree Northwest. Whoops. But I've definitely been keeping very busy in the fandom since then!

And the reception to these stories has been utterly phenomenal. Thank you all so much. All of them made featured, all of them have high marks and I've received some wonderful feedback from readers. It's been a joy to see. In particular, the potent, personal-record-busting performance of Misty Needs a Hug -- my first story to break 100 upvotes (and now 150) and my second (and by far the fastest) to hit 1000 views -- is a testament to how awesome the G5 fans are. Long live Misty.

(And, as of this writing, The Final Conversation is sitting at the top of the Feature box, just a day after its initial publication, and closing in on 100 upvotes. Wow. Never expected that, but thanks so much to everyone who has read and enjoyed it. Also, check out the cover art from daOtterGuy!)

I'm also continuing to edit for other authors, which is deeply fulfilling. In particular, I recently worked on Admiral Biscuit's charming Parsnip and everydayghost's dramatic Chromatic Aberration (currently on hiatus), with more projects coming soon as well.

As for my own writing, I definitely have some big plans in the works, including the next entry in the Siblingverse (the AU established by What My Destiny is Telling Me; The Final Conversation is a prequel to this universe) and my long-gestating "SciSet in Equestria" story. That, plus whatever shorts spring into my mind. Speaking of shorts, don't forget I'm still adding new flashfics to the collection:

Keeping busy with fandom is good!

Misty Needs a Hug really hits so many buttons with so many readers. It's obvious in the show that she's abused by Opaline (presented in a way understandable and bearable to kids), and it resonates so hard in the adult fans.
