When the decision is made to return the Elements of Harmony to their proper place in the tree, it is up to Luna and Big Mac to oversee their restoration. Unfortunately, even a simple task such as this can be complicated where deep magic is involved. A sequel to: Into the Land of Neverwere.

Equis faces a foe so powerful that the only choice Celestia has to defeat them is to release her full power. Such a choice would destroy not only the enemy, but all life in Equestria. It is not something she can do, yet to do nothing would be just as fatal. What is needed here is a different kind of power. One wielded with the skill and finess of a surgeon, or a doctor.

Mac has always been a hard working pony, able to solve any problem with determination, muscle and sweat. Now that he has become an alicorn, he finds himself questioning what role he should fulfill, aside from being Princess Luna's special somepony and royal consort. He isn't very adept at using his new found power, and with its new found prosperity, it doesn't seem he is as important to keeping the farm going as he once was. For the briefest of moments, he almost wishes he'd never been born. It's a dangerous thing for anypony to think, let alone an alicorn.

How does a pony survive when their greatest wish is denied them. Meet Skylar, a pegasus pony who has it all. A beautiful, talented and loving mate, two healthy and energetic foals, a good job, a home, friends and valued co-workers, respect and financial security. But even with that there is something missing in his life. Something which he lost and can never have again... Or can he?

When Luna becomes the target of an attempt against the Equestrian Throne, it will take all the strength of a certain pony to confront and defeat not only the evil that threatens, but the fear he holds deep within himself. Will the magic of a Princess be enough to save him? Or will they both be dragged into the abyss of a dark conspiracy?
