Equestria is engulfed in war—against an evil tyrant with his army of slaves, for a peaceful freedom for all in a prosperous world. But, war was never that easy nor that simple, especially when it extends beyond military battles and reaches into the lives of all involved.

Because, in a war as far-reaching as it is destructive, no one can escape its grasp—and, no one can leave it unchanged.

Past the headlines of the day with its articles about victories and defeats on a frontline so far yet so close; past the propaganda spouting and espousing something patriotically believable but with a tinge of illusion; past the declarations and proclamations designed to keep the masses' hopes up for just another week.

Past those things, here are the stories of some who would live in this war from beginning to...end?

History is, as one put it simply, the study of past events.

For Cheerilee, teaching her class Equestrian History is alright. They aren't particularly excited by the prospect of learning who did what at where and when, but Cheerilee has iterated to them—time and again—that what those who's did lead up to the Equestria they know and love today. With that driving the colts and fillies, they gained historical knowledge.

But, with the return of certain ponies after over a millenium of absence, the teacher has within her grasp a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to, once and for all, liven up history class and to inspire the foals she was teaching: bringing the Pillars of Equestria themselves over to school for history class.

Of course, those things must be done with the consent and agreement of all the ponies involved.

So, Cheerilee decided to talk with Star Swirl the Bearded—famed magic user of old—about the idea. Good thing he was just passing by in Ponyville.

Or not? It probably is.

Who could resist the allure of peaceful grass in their rolling fields, or the freshness of the crsip water in the rivers and the lakes, or the sight of rainbows falling down to the ground like a waterfall?

Winsome Falls is a beautiful place. Untouched by pony settlement, pure in its magnificence, astounding in its features, Winsome Falls has often been told as the perfect camping spot, the perfect field trip destination, the perfect party venue (for some parties, not for others).

Yet, one group of ponies came here not to camp with their siblings or some friends. They didn't come here to organize a field trip for a school. And, they didn't come here to hold a party.

Instead, they came here, under orders from Princess Luna herself, to look for something, to clarify.

Takes place before the Season 7 "Shadow Play" finale.

Ponyville is a nice, cozy town filled with friendly ponies who, for the most part, are interested in pursuing their dreams and in keeping a semblance of normalcy. Being the home of all the Elements of Harmony (one of them a Princess) alongside the world-famous Cutie Mark Crusaders—not to mention the ponies who've made a more peaceful peace with the Dragon Lands, Yayakistan, and the Changeling Kingdom—this quaint village just wants to live a regular (enough) life.

Which is impossible when the spirit of and embodiment of chaos himself, Discord, goes to Ponyville almost every day to the point that he's a de facto citizen of the town. In his wake are chaos, confusion, and, well, discord.

Yet, the ponies try to cope.

All Cheerilee wanted for the day was a sofa. An ordinary sofa—no frills and no fanciness. Just a sofa.

Too bad the salespony won't back down without a fight.

Dragon Lord Ember, recently crowned, has taken her home of the Dragon Lands towards a new path: The path of friendship. And, who else to consult than a few ponies, known to be the purveyors and experts of friendship?—their whole society being founded and based on the tenets of friendship, after all.

Ember, however, also has a few issues and some matters in need of clarification. One of them being: How can she properly interact with ponies when they all look the same, have very similar names, and—in some cases—even have alike personalities?

She seeks her answers in the town of Ponyville.

A.K. Yearling is famous throughout Equestria and even beyond for being the author of the well-known, well-written Daring Do book series. From the casual reader to the devoted fan, her books have influenced not just the lives of many ponies but even Equestrian literature itself. From the very first book to the latest one, each story had inside treasures of that literary quality that would astound and amaze any reader.

Despite that, Quibble Pants, a fan of the Daring Do book series, is convinced that, outside of the first three books, the Daring Do books are actually low-quality, dumbed down, action-filled products that were evidence of an author that was selling out to the publisher which was only out to seek more profit. However, there was a question in his head: Why would an author want to sell out?

So, despite the adventure he'd had with Rainbow Dash and A.K Yearling herself—who turned out to actually be Daring Do, which meant that all the Daring Do stories were real—Quibble Pants visits another Daring Do convention to settle the matter once and for all with the writer herself:

Why did A.K. Yearling sell out?
