Live your life as you want to and do what makes you happy. Don't let other people get to you, as long as you aren't hurting anyone or ruining anyone's life then continue to do what makes you happy.

Frequently people are told how to live their lives simply because they are different, whether it be religion, sexuality, political standing, or a great deal many other things.

Doing so and pushing your ideas and ideals onto another person and telling them that they are not allowed to live their lives as they see fit is like going into a pet store and yelling at someone you don't know that they can't buy a cat because you're allergic, or going to a store and telling someone that they can't buy any candy because you're diabetic.

Just because one person enjoys something does not entitle another person, who doesn't or can't enjoy it, to ruin it for the first one.
